Waiting... waiting on the world to change.
John Mayer knows his stuff. Why is that whenever you know you have it good in life you still want things to change? Is it that we'll never be satisfied in life? Will there always be something more that we crave? Is that need engrained in human nature?
Take a look and your life and you'll find the good and the bad. The bad is what we all wish we could change. But as a professor once told me- there's no such thing as perfection? So why change the bad? We should embrace it for what it is. If everything was good and perfect, life would be boring. Good isn't so good without the bad.
Yet we still wish things could change for the better. So since we may not be able to escape the changes we dream, how long do we have to be patient for those to come true? Patience as a virtue is getting old. Will it ever change or are we destined to follow the same musical path of the horses on a carousel over and over and never gallop off.
Thoughts to ponder in early October.
