Haha, I was surprised when I found it, because I had completely forgotten about it. I've always thought Roy's motivations were one of the most interesting things about him, because they're pretty complex and more than a little conflicted, so it was fun to apply that to a Roy/Ed relationship. Er, even if it didn't have a happy ending.

And re: your off-topic comment: OMG DO IIIIIIIIIIT. It was one of my initial fears about venturing into the DGM fandom too, actually (and continues to be one of the reasons why I don't really write for multiple fandoms simultaneously; it seems like every fandom has its own quirks and... political system, for lack of a better phrase, and it's often hard for me to get a grasp on those >_>). I am very lucky to have sutlers to encourage me in that respect and she kind of helps me focus on the writing instead. :D And for what it's worth, she and I are both pining for your DGM fic.
