I think I'm going to give up on risotto. The texture just makes me gag. I even tried making it in my shiny new rice cooker. It cooked the rice to a nice finish but ew. It made a huge mess - spitting liquid everywhere. And did I mention the texture? I'm 100% positive that I made it correctly I just failed to realize that risotto is that texture.
I'll stick to regular rice dishes from now on. I need to get some long grain so that I can keep using my shiny new rice cooker.
At least this was an inexpensive learning experience.
The hubby has decreed we order Chinese. Yay for yummy noodles and the excuse of using my new bowls and chopsticks!
