Okay so my computer crashes uh. Multiple times!  Sometimes multiple times in one day!  (My "personal best" is seven times in one day :'( )

So I finally ran the Windows Debugging tool and I was wondering whether anyone was familiar with wtf this all means.

My computer is a Vista 32 bit system running SP1, 4.00 GB of RAM on two sticks and I have a ( Read more... )

Hard to tell without knowing which driver is going wrong. Occam's razor - hit up your graphics card company's site and get the latest version of their drivers. Then get the latest version of directx from microsoft.com.

My graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 -- would that be in their 4500 series?

pfft, no wonder I couldn't find it. ATI has it listed as a desktop graphics card and I'm pretty sure I'm running a notebook XD

bawww, I installed everything and it crashed again.

Same error messages as 27 Sept (1) and 25 Sept (1).

DirectX up to date? Hmm. Check out your motherboard drivers to see if there's been updated versions too. However, you might just be looking at replacing your RAM, unfortunately.

I've installed the new chipset drivers, and I'm trialing what Roxas' player suggested re: my antivirus. If that doesn't work ... well, fortunately I'm still under warranty and I have on-site support.
