so wow life moves quickly sometimes...
gene took me to Longwood Gardens in pa on the 9th. beautiful fantastic incredible awesome happy day. pictures up on shutterfly, and a few in my facebook Spring album. umm let's see. katy came to visit, last wednesday thru friday. had fun, played air hockey and (for pretend bc i am INCREDIBLY horrible) pool, got our first coldstone, and other fun events.
after two b+, i got an a- on french "explication de texte." this pretty much rocked my world...he's impossible. I doubt i can get an A for the semester because we dont get graded on much, but for a little while, this will provide a french glow of happiness.
i ate pasta for a Relay team last night...mmmm carbs. pasta, how i love thee!!
have you ever found that you go a while between bouts of doing stupid/painful things? for example, i haven't hurt myself in a while, and then in one week's time, bruise most of my body. I:
-walked into the 90-degree corner of a metal handrail. cut & bruised upper arm; it looked as though gene beat me up
-"fell" against a cinderblock wall, bruised the bejeesus outta my shoulder & "wing"-ity bone in my back
-fell off a bed. bumped leg around painfully
-scraped up inner left leg, possibly while shaving??
- i can't even tell you how i bruised my right knee
-i gave myself splinters. i kicked a stick on the ground, and it wedged between a crack inthe brick path and the strap on my flipflop for .003 seconds, just long enough to dig in painfully. examining the cuts in the light of the student mart, i saw and pulled one huge splinter, but later discovered another, smaller one. This one i'm leaving in. it'll go away. I think.
-and thanks to amoxicillin for the strep i had over spring break, i've now had my period for two weeks. last week, when amoxi cancelled out my bc, and this week, when i shoulda had it anyway. there are times when i really hate my body; this is one of them.
in the midst of scheduling chaos for the fall...i'm dropping my french major-ship. In it's place, i'm taking up international business studies, plus two minors, french & spanish. only problem - the classes i need, (accounting, intro to business, etc) are only open to ppl in the major...which i'm not yet, because my major-to-be won't exist until next fall, probably. currently calling and emailing various people, hoping that they'll stop referring me to someone new, and that my new someone new will solve all my problems, turn dandelions to lollipops, and give me a pony.
anyway, sorry it's been long time, no update. No excuse really...i've been busy sleeping, class-ing, working, and being lazy.
oh speaking of classes. when katy was here, i brought her to my econ class (she thought he was repetitive(he is, there are morons in the class)), and anthro (even tho we had a movie for the first half(she doesn't know how lucky she is we had a film(she almost fell asleep anyway)) which she both found to be fantastically boring, and asked why i still went to class, and how then did i manage to stay awake?
off to read madame bovary for my english class, ciao loves!
