Summary: Cassandra and Medusa
Cassandra needed to get out. The noise from Helen and Deiphobus fighting was grating on her nerves and she couldn't really handle being around people. She needed to check on Plutus and then curl up in her room and not come out. He was blind and couldn't defend himself and he knew that she needed the quiet. Or at least was considerate enough to give it to her when she was like this.
Medusa had no home to go to. Not with the sea beast in her apartment. She had been wandering the halls and living in Doctor Bob’s office, talking to herself all the while.
Seeing Cassandra was luck. Pure luck. Medusa was sure she’d be (weaksmallcrazylost) easy picking. So she put away the gun. Pulled out her knives and ran towards the other woman with a frightening screech.
"Gods-" Cassandra spun around and barely managed to get away from Medusa. She fumbled for her knife and dropped it, unable to get it out due to fear. She had never really learned how to fight before and barely knew how to defend herself, inspite of the lessons she had taken with Deiphobus. The priestess cried out and pushed forward, hoping to ram Medusa into the wall.
It didn’t quite work, with her monstrous strength Medusa was harder to push around than she looked, but it still hurt to have a frightened person push against you like that. Made her stumble. “Bitch! Why would you do that? Makeyoupaymakeyoupaymakeyoupay-”
Medusa began to stab at random, not really caring if she hit or if she fell. It didn’t matter.
Before she began to get stabbed, she managed to get out, "You pushed me first!"
The first cut burned her arm as it ripped through her skin. Medusa didn't manage to hit her all that many times in the beginning, since Cassandra was moving. She reached out to claw at Medusa as much as she could before she began to collapse from being stabbed.
She had clawed at it. In the Before. It didn’t do any good. Only a stinging reminder of what was going to happen anyway, with or without consent. Couldn’t be stopped. It calmed her somehow, to be reminded of Cassandra and the life she was fighting for. Medusa began to coo motherly noises as her foe was falling. Didn’t stop stabbing. “Just go to sleep. Ssshhh, it’s all right. Just go to sleep.”
Cassandra fell, unable to keep standing anymore. She hated dying, hated the feeling of losing everything like this. Wasn't it enough that she had felt it hundreds of times in her visions?
Medusa didn’t stop. Not until the body was cold. Brushed the hair out of her face. “Goodbye.”
