Summary: They left the apartment for some respite but some plans are just meant to fail.
The sound of heels hitting the cement in sharp, quick beats was almost as painful as having sewing needles poking around at his eardrums; almost as painful as listening to himself sing or play an instrument. Arion shuddered violently at the memory and pulled his coat tight around his shaking frame in search of meager comfort as he continued down the sidewalk. He would admit readily that even the monotonous regularity of footsteps on cement was better than… than that sound that he had produced last night.
He did not know how long and how far he had walked, but looking around was not an option because of glass and marble surfaces that contained within it the image of a hideous monster. Then again, it hardly mattered since the underdressed male had no destination in mind. He just had to leave the apartment and leave it fast, away from raging former goddesses and disgusting gods. Not to mention the platitude of other repulsive male beings, each and everyone more repulsive than the last.
Shaking his head firmly, Arion resisted the urge to fall into despair. He could live without good looks and he would survive not staring another male in the face for the rest of eternity but he could not live down not being able to play his music. For a moment, the bard entertained the image of throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of the city's sidewalk.
