Summary: Odysseus wants to extract Penelope from her apartment and get her away from Scylla. Penelope wants to extract him from his clothes first.
It was hot. And she...itched. Scylla was gone, and good riddance. That little bitch would only try to touch her Odysseus, and Penelope couldn't have that. Not at all. That was why every knife in the apartment was now lined up on the counter in front of her. The biggest knife was clutched firmly in her hand. It was an unusual sight to behold. Penelope was not usually prone to bearing arms, as she was a rather non-violent person.
That Penelope, the proper, neatly groomed and well mannered Penelope, she wasn't in right now. In her place was a woman that bore little resemblance to Penelope. This woman was barely clothed. In fact, before Odysseus had demanded she leave the apartment, she'd worn nothing at all. Clothes were too hot. But Odysseus had said they were important for some odd reason. So she'd thrown on a black silk bra, panties and a filmy, loose robe. Now clothed, Odysseus should find nothing to complain about.
Her hair hung wildly around her shoulders in a cloud of loose waves and curls. The idea of keeping it neatly confined as she normally did didn't suit her mood. She felt restless and wild and hungry for her husband. He seemed to be taking his good, sweet time getting down here, and she was getting very impatient.
She huffed and nearly growled as she stalked back and forth across the apartment, her walk and posture rather predatory and hostile, the knife still firmly clutched in her hand. She had told him to hurry. He didn't seem to realize how important this was. She crossed to the counter o'knives and jammed one of them into the counter top in frustration.
That felt good.
Another was forced into the counter, and another and another until all the knives stood straight up in the counter top, only the large one in her hand remained free.
That one she was saving.
