LONDON
I leave for London in 3 days. Isn't that awesome...not only is it FRICKIN LONDON, but I am there on a mission, to spread the good news of Jesus Christ!! Swweeeeeet. We're going to these south asian neighborhoods, where everyone is either muslim or hindu, soak in their culture and develop relationships. I can't frickin wait. I've been waiting for this all summer.mmmmmmmmm! No threat of terrorism can stop me now. 'Sides, God is completely in control with his grace and love.
so, 'sides that, here's the jist of janelle's life as of late
- i can't stop listening to the rocket summer's new album. it's so dang catchy. if you hear obnoxiously loud and happy music coming from a gold sebring, in the manassas area, it'd be me.
- my new friend, amber lyons and i did middle camp last week. it was quite an adventure. reminded me of all the awkward times i went through when i was a young'n...oh wait...i'm still awkward(but at least i like it). my team, the frickin blue team...won the penny war and our derby car championship...it was so sweet...and i never win ANYTHING...I'm always on the losing team (hahaha)....oh and my kids actually liked me! two of my girls accepted Christ, which is totally God not me...but God worked through me, and it was cool to see that happen. Oh yeah, and one of my girls invited me to eat lunch with her family for her birthday! it was the sweetest thing! so, i went to her grandma's house last saturday. pretty cool stuff.
- i'm gearing up for a yard sale this saturday...at my house 8am-1pm...be there..please!
- i finally crushed the crush. i am over this kid. and for the first time in a long time, am truly happy to be single. God will provide someone when the time comes.
- i don't have a lot of manassas time left. i get back from London on the 9th...and will be leaving for CNU around the 15thish...wow. i can't wait to see so many beautiful, awesome, lovely faces of my friends who i miss so dearly. you kids rock and this year will be amazing.
- i went to eagle eyrie several weeks ago...did work there and went to the natural bridge...it was pretty sweet...one of these days, i'll put pictures up.
- i've seen lovedrug twice this summer....this makes up for all the cool concerts I'll miss when I'm in London (Ben Folds/Rufus Wainwright, dead poetic)
