Finally!!! okay so it only took a week...
So my arm is still killing me. The chick sitting behind me at the George Strait concert kicked me in it while she was trying to stretch or something. Really fucking painful!!! But anyways, Bro is here with his two kids doing the hand off back to his ex so I am hiding avoiding all the weirdness and pissy attitudes and I thought I might as well post a few pictures while I was at it.
Steve is always the first on stage...
A lil fuzzed but it really set the tone for the night. Chris admitted right from the start that they were all drunk off their asses and were just gonna go with whatever they happened to come up with. Yeah, Chris was drunk all right.... and more than a little stoned...
This is one of my favorites from the night. Yeah, they were totally stoned... Bubba was feeling a little left out - he had left his back at my friend's apartment and was kinda regretting it since he had to put up with fangirls all night!
Will and Jason - After one of the songs someone in the crowd yelled up that 6 months had been too long for Kane to be away from Portland. Chris told us that it was Jason's fault because he had left a message and Jason had never called him back. Jason came back with that it was Will's fault since Will is from Portland and lives there. Will ATTEMPTED to pass the blame but he is so damn soft spoken even with a microphone no one could hear him! Which both Steve and Chris took great pleasure in teasing him about.
I think it is incredibly adorable how 'southern' Steve gets when he is playing a Kane show! After the first song he turned to Chris at told him 'Pick up that guitar, Son' Of course guitar sounded more like geetar (you know how my grandad, who is from Missouri, pronounces it). At the end of the show when the band was coming back on stage for an encore, Steve was the first one back on stage (as usual) and when he picked up his guitar, Chris' ended up falling over... The look on his face was priceless! He stepped over to the mike 'Ya'll saw that I didn't do that right???' I tried to get a pic of his face while it was falling but just as I snapped the picture the guy standing next to me decided to lean down to talk to his friend - right into my picture!

They dedicated the show to Jason's dad - Papa Don - who recently passed. Chris could barely get the words out before he broke down. He ended up having to step to the back of the stage and Steve ended up finishing what Chris was trying to say.
Chris and Steve during the encore - One More Shot. It started out as just the two of them then the rest of the band joined them during the 2nd verse I believe. After the song was over, Steve suggested that they stick to songs the rest of the band knows :D
Tim and Chris - saying thank you to everyone that came out the the show, that came to con-con this year, that watched Leverage and made it what it is. Chris even talked Tim into doing his "we provide..." line
Random little bits - At the beginning of the show Chris asked some girl that was against the stage if she was drinking his beer. Which Steve found insanely hilarious 'Christian just got roofied!' When Chris leaned down to talk to the girl, Steve said 'He just wants to make sure it was the good shit' Then they both got serious and Steve apologized saying that it wasn't funny and they probably shouldn't be joking about that kinda stuff. Chris then decided to tell everyone that he and Steve have both been roofied twice at the Viper Room in LA and that they don't react very well to it, they start doing weird shit - at this point Steve decided they should talk about that later and sing now :)
-Chris is either a very touchy/feely drunk stoner or he was just flying very VERY high coming off ConCon. He, of course, was hugging all the guys - Steve, Jason, Brian, Tim - he also kept smacking Steve and Jason on the ass, okay yeah, done that before, but this show he kept kissing them. On the forehead, the neck, the cheek, etc, mostly Steve, Jason he did that to when the hugged after they dedicated the show, Brian he kissed his neck when Brian joined them for 'House Rules'....
- The song after the dedication Jason apologized to the audience because he missed some notes. Steve told him it was okay he had one in there too at which Jason told him that he had like 7 or 8. Steve goes 'Oh, well, I had 1, but I had something else in mind' Chris looked over at him and goes WTF? Steve says 'I think I had whiskey in mind - Where the hell did that bottle of Jack go?' To which Chris promptly picked up said bottle to make sure Steve got. I have a picture, but it isn't the best so I probably won't be sharing it.
-During the first chorus of Whiskey in Mind (slide over and kiss me 'cause I got more than whiskey in mind), Steve and Chris stared at each other. Yup, tinhat fangirl moment in all it's glory!
And there we have it. Next show is April 17th. I have the tickets for that one as well :D Bubba will once again be going with me, hopefully he will take to the fangirls a little better - or ya know smoke BEFORE the show!
