Fiber Projects
So I thought I would share some of my most recent yarn projects....
"Fawkes" inspired socks - pattern available on Ravelry. Made for T's christmas present. I used a hand-dyed super-soft wool/bamboo/silk blend.
My original pattern - Happy Hour. The yarn colorway is called "Olive" and when I saw it all I could think of was the line "Two green olives with the red things in them please" from Steve's song. The cables remind me of olives especially once I added the hole in the middle of the cable :)
An improptu piece. Done in a 100% cotton - my niece brought me her Tinkerbell doll and told me that she needed a new dress. Unable to find a pattern to fit the 15" doll I had to improvise. Not exactly the best piece of work but it appeased my 4yr old Sav.
Made as a way to use up some of the thread I have accumulated some how, not sure exactly how. It will go in my gift basket. Will probably end up as a Christmas gift to one of my aunts. Wrap it around a jar candle and it will make a nice gift.
Right now I am working on a pair of socks for myself. Since everyone else has gotten a pair BUT me, I figured it was time to be selfish! It is the "Belllatrix" pattern from Ravelry. Yeah, another HP pattern :) I am using the same yarn brand that I used for T's "Fawkes" socks, but in a shaded purples colorway.
