That's what I've been saying to people. They're not BFFs, but they spent what they thought were YEARS together, having to put up with each other, learning about each other. It's going to create some sort of bond. I think it's the pace in which it happened (to our eyes, to theirs, it was aaages) which puts people off.

Definitely, the timeline is hard to imagine. It's hard to imagine 10 years in little under an hour, but I kind of roll with it because I meditate on it, LOL. Because I ship it and all. But the casual viewer was probably just like 0_0 and felt like it was rushed. But yeah, they aren't BFF, they're just...the have this really unbreakable bond now. They know everything you could possibly know about each other. Peter knows when Sylar's books are getting worn out. Sylar can recognize the slightest difference in Peter's facial expression. That's the intimacy you usually don't get unless you're twins or have been married for decades. They're even finishing each other's sentances now, according to next week. But I think that people are getting confused with that, and mistaking it for true love, or BFF-ery or disregard for Nathan's death cause I think if this episode did one thing, it DEFINETY was to acknowledge Nathan's death, lol.

The thing that made me think Sylar was :/ is that half a day, even though it was years in their minds...is it really enough to make him change completely?

Totally. And I think that Peter will be the one to keep him straight and narrow. Because Peter cares now - he didn't spend ten years of head life accepting Sylar to just let him go back to killing, and I can't see Sylar's conscience letting him disappoint Peter like that. He's never had anyone to really disappoint before, so he was reckless; I think this makes a big impact. But you know, it's not going to be as easy as it was in his head world, you're right. In his head world, there was no temptation, nothing to kill, nothing to gain. So next weeks episode will be a test for sure...:)
