If a goose's goal is to make a fool out of a scientist, I think it succeeded.
I was driving out around lunchtime to redeem a free lunch coupon for Argonne employees at Chipotle, and got stuck in a minor traffic jam. It was jammed in both directions, all due to a flock of geese that couldn't make up its collective mind to cross the road or not. Next, I see the guy in the first car traveling in the opposite direction get out of his car and charge at the geese waving his arms like a madman probably yelling something like "SHOO! SHOOOOO!!!" Seeing such behavior come out of a scientist was rather hilarious.
