He sounds dejected and turns around.

Oh, then I really don't know what else to tell you. [Fortunately, Estelle doesn't exactly know about the post office.]

Keima raises a hand. Pink hair aside, she isn't an NPC or one of those... drones as the pamphlet suggests.

Okay, what is it you need me to tell you?

[She smiles at him, more than happy to help.]

He'll start out with important obvious questions first.

"Do we know why we have been taken captive?"

[She shakes her head.]

I'm afraid I don't know. I just woke up here and was told to follow the rules to avoid punishment.

"Oh, you're a new recruit here as well? I didn't know that they would bring a lot of people. I thought it was my demon buddy Elsie and I.

That's good info."

A new recruit? If that's how you put it, then yes. So you came along with your friend. I guess this place is nice enough to bring friends with you or place you in the same house as your friends. The latter is what happened to me.

"Have you seen this letter? This situation we're in isn't a picnic."

[She looks at the letter.]

No, this is the first time I've seen this. May I see that?

"Keep it. I already memorized everything on it."

He hands her the letter.

[She quickly read through it. Parts of it she had already heard from other people here, but parts of it were new to her.]

This all sounds terrible.

[After reading the part about powers being taken away, she realized she never had the chance to heal anyone therefore she didn't know they were gone until now, or so she thought. That thought made her sad - what would she do if she saw someone injured and could do nothing?]

"Yes. We are not in a good place. This Post Office can give you back what you've lost, but the cost seems high. Body parts. Memories."

If something is that valuable, then people would easily give it up.

[In a way, she's now tempted to go in there for her healing powers if that letter is to be believed.]
