And the road has been too long....

OK so some more details!!! Ok so I headed to the bus station on Friday w/ Andrew about noonish I think *I don't remember* and got my baggage claims stuff. And then Andrew had to leave to get to work, so I waited by myself. And the bus was half an hour late... because GUESS WHY. Bush decided to pop himself into Canton & in the process shut down all the highways. >.< gee thanks, mr. President. -_- Anyhoo, when I got down there, KC couldn't find the station so it took at least a half hour for that. Then, the two people who were supposed to travel w/ us from WV to Maryland cancelled, and since we were both so poor, we had to recruit some other people for gas money. And good thing we did, but that delayed us a long. Long story short, we left about 9, 9:30. Driving through the appalachian mountains at night is a feat, let me tell you. Sometimes you're so high up, you're driving through clouds and can't see 2 feet in front of the vehicle. We made it to Maryland at about 3:30, and the immaturity started as soon as we arrived....
What do you expect???

So we got up the next morn, got costumes figured out, headed to the local mall for some supplies, and made it to the faire about 12ish. It was impressive looks wise, however, it was more like a tourist attraction than something for ren people to enjoy. It was a lot of a "shopping mall" feel, especially w/ how many people were in street clothes. Ah well. The jousting was a lot better than Great Lakes, and I got to see Hack N Slash, but overall I favor Great Lakes. Also, I don't think I saw a cast member talk to any of my group, or any other patrons! Just talked to each other.... It was very impersonal feeling. I am however, still returning next year w/ the group! It was good fun.

Summer's aunt (Summer being one of Zach's friend) shacked us up for the weekend, and the family was spectacular! I enjoyed all of our stay, they were very patient hosts. (You'd have to be to let 7 college age kids sleep in your den!!!) I very much appreciated their hospitality!

And then I spent one night at Ohio Valley College.... man what an alien environment for me... a conservative private christian college. O_o But I enjoyed myself. Everyone was very friendly and Diana (the girl I roomed w/ for the night) and her roomate Val were very entertaining.  I slept on a concrete floor, but at least I was warm.
Thanks gals!

And then today has just been.... today! Not a lot happened but me laying on my ass, then hanging out w/ Bill, and failing to see I
Huckabees. We're going to shoot for later on this week. w00t!

And I guess that's all. Saw something on someone's blogger the other night that really stung. Not going to bring it up, just making a note of it... Nite!
