I was watching television today while my brother was flipping channels & eventually settled on the Twilight Zone (the new one). It was about this family who had a daughter who was "troubled" and so they moved to this gated community called "Evergreen" where their motto was "Our children are our greatest resource." Fucking creepy... anyhoo, the first night they've moved there, they drug their daughter, dye her hair back to her normal color, and remove all her tattoos & peircings. She of course flips out. She then finds out, from another "troubled" teen named Logan in the community that you kind of have to follow along or they'll send you to "Arcadia" which he believes to be a high security military school. Well, the two of them plan to get together & listen to contraband music, smoke some weed, and basically break some rules. Well, somehow, Logan gets caught and they hold a town meeting (just the parents) to vote on whether he gets another chance or not. Jenna (the aformentioned troubled daughter) spies on it, as the vote is counted NOT to give him another chance. So he is being taken by the gaurds out to the "Arcadia" armored vehicle. Jenna then reads the rest of the sign on the vehicle, and it says "Arcadia: Fertilizer Producers" or something like that. She starts screaming at Logan who tells her to run away. She runs home to her sister, and asks for her help, then tells her where to meet her later. Instead of helping, her little sister brings the gaurds, and when Jenna, hysterical, asks her sister "Why???" she simply says "You're going to ruin everything again." And then they show both Logan's family & Jenna's family planting these pine trees in their yards with this mulch fertilizer at the bottom... I fucking felt so sick.... and then the narrator says "The Winslows have regained control of their family. The cost? One teenage daughter. An offer only made... in the Twilight Zone." I was so creeped out by this all day, all during work.... and still now... it was just so... sickening.... I can't believe that any parents would do that.... I know I cause my family trouble, but do you really think they would ever do that to make this family stable??? And while I don't think my parents would, the fact is that somewhere, I'll bet there are families that would.... and that's sad...

I just want some thoughts on this... I keep seeing this actresses face in my mind screaming for her mom as the vehicle took her away....
