I'm just going to leave this window open all day at work and jot notes in as I go, we'll see where my brain goes all day. :)
First off, Huston's first day at Amazon is today. He got up and left earlier than me, which is quite the switch, and its a bit weird to be the one "sleeping in." I hope he's having a good day. :)
Helping a Seattle friend out w/ some stuff. I really empathize and I know she can handle it. I know the feeling because I've been there. It also helps keep my work day moving, to feel like I'm actually accomplishing something.
I'm alarmingly cheerful for being at work.
"Video killed the radio star...."
Got a coffee table from Ikea this weekend, word of a possible free couch also means we don't have to buy a futon. Been trying to clean our floor a bunch, get some vacuuming, get some furniture moved. Need graph paper to decide HOW to move it tho...
So I guess its not just me, a coworker has noticed Mike's general disinterest in me. Not like Mike should be "interested" persay, but he acted like he couldn't wait to get out of there at the wedding, and he generally only talks to me when we're driving to work together or happen to be in the kitchen at the same time. I've tried expressing this to him several times that I would like us to hang out more and he just says "you can come upstairs any time." That's pretty vague and again disinterested. I hung out w/ him more when Huston & I lived in Fairfield than I do now when we live in the same house.
Whatever I guess. :/ But a coworker had been asking him about how the wedding was and he didn't want to answer her, just kept saying "Ask Giselle." Well, gee, you were there, didn't you SEE anything?
I think I'm going to do my hair in my psuedo-dreads again, like 06. I really liked how easy to maintain they were, and how much cooler I was due to it. Plus looking like a pirate is MADE of win. :)
I need to stop looking around at all these ball jointed dolls... I now have a shopping list of 2 more dolls after my succubus (now named Aquamarine). One is a smaller barbie sized doll called Elf Uyoo-Arch of Triumph, and a tiny little doll, Fairyland Puki, probably the Sugar model. SO cute. Thats not including all the accessories/clothes I want for them!! O.O (Hopefully they will satiate my want to have a baby right now >.>) I ordered 2 wigs for Aquamarine off of eBay last week. One is a dark green, and the other is violet. I really wanted purple, and it was only $15 with shipping, so I couldn't say no since they're usually $24-$30. I like the style of the green one a lot more tho, and the shade is awesome, even tho I had never thought of green for her. I went ahead & got it also and I will see which I like better. Or maybe BOTH! She's got a human side AND a supernatural side, so perhaps they will have different hair? Or I'll save the other wig for another doll later. Aquamarine is over halfway paid off. I might just get the wig too... Still need to order her eyes...
I am infinetely comforted by Huston's sporatic text/IMs throughout the day. He really is my other half. :)
I miss Sailor Moon. I think I'll start watching my DVDs again...
I'll admit it. I like Linkin Park. I'm not impressed by them, I don't really think they're anything special, but I sure do enjoy listening to them.
The more I work, the more I consider the idea of being a stay at home mom someday. >.<
Saw The Incredible Hulk this past weekend. FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. I really didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but we went to go support our good friend Tony who worked on the CG for the Hulk. But aside from looking amazing, the plot was good, solid, and I found very few things that I thought of as "omg no way would that happen." I encourage everyone to go see it. Ignore everything from the last Hulk movie. Pretend it never happened. Go see the Incredible Hulk.
I'm very sad to hear George Carlin died. :(
Robocop is an awful movie.
My tattoo needs a lot of extra work to correct it. :/
YAY lunch break. 'Course, I already ate since they grilled for our dept today. I brought in some chik patties for myself, and it was tasty. Verruh tasty.
Need to find my list of gifts & such from my bridal shower... gotta send thank you cards. And thank yous for our wedding gifts, lol. I'm so bad at this kind of stuff. Huston & I bought some note cards to send thanks in, just have to get the entire list together. :P
Ooooh I can finally get some RSPD time in. FINALLY.
OMG can't wait for PAX & to see all my Enforcer friends.
Gah, couch is no longer up for offer. Have to find something else...
OMG I want my doll. I've found some cool outfits I'd love to get her into. I really want to find a kimono that compliments her colors... once I have her I'll be more likely to figure that out, but the website she's from has some neat outfits for their slightly bigger models, called Mecha Angel. My doll is a Super Gem, but their measurements aren't too different, so it makes me wonder if I could put her into some MA clothes & they would look good. Especially w/ the added height she has in her hooves... hmmm
I also found a ton of wigs I wish I could try on her. >.< I already have two on the way!!! O.o So doomed.
I am way to anxious to move to Seattle.
Working on my post count on Den Of Angels so I can enter the marketplace finally. Really want to find someone who will do a split order on Soom's monthly doll this month so I can have the gray girl's dress... 5 posts away...
(saved, will be saving again for rest of day's thoughts right before I leave for home)
Please tell me why it wouldn't occur to you that a 937 (dayton) area code could not be ported to the Hamilton area.... BECAUSE ITS A DAYTON AREA CODE???
ARRRRRRRRRGH the days seem to move so slow lately... I don't know why, but I am just ITCHING to be doing stuff at HOME rather than here... *sigh*
I really am quite lucky... I was just telling Huston saturday on the way home from Ikea how lucky we are... We have each other, great parents, great friends both here in Ohio and in Washington where we plan to make our future, we have good jobs (Huston has pretty much his dream job), a nice place to live, had a great wedding, lots of family to come to said wedding, we're not in a RIDICULOUS amount of debt; its managable, we make a good amount of money, we have no major catastrophes to deal with.... DAMN lucky people, Huston & I. And I am appreciating it SO much.
my tummy kinda hurts :(
I kind of love calling in same day cancel & reschedules. It makes my day go a little faster. :)
I don't WANT to like Ikea since yuppies love it... but I DO like it.
I wonder, after we move to Seattle, what time of year we will plan to visit home...
I need to get pictures of my jewelry so I can start selling stuff on Etsy!
mmmm I want a house of our own... so I can start painting... decorating... buying furniture.... I <3 houses. XD
Also, I am REALLY tired of csrs not correcting tns from natives to ports when the sub wants a port... WTF.
Nothing more today...
