I'M SORRY OMG

May 13, 2008 22:46

I realize, I haven't posted in quite some time. But I feel like all I have to talk about is the wedding.... because really everything else is pretty much work, and I sure am tired of that.

But I'll talk about it just a little bit for a second here, just to update you, and myself in the future when I reread this all. :)
We recently changed systems, from an antiquated manual system to a new fangled automated system. So essentially, my job changed. It went from entering orders into the manual system, to fixing the errors that the new automated system catches. And by fix, I could be literally going into the order to fix the error so it flows back down, or I could be notifying the rep who entered it wrong to fix it, or I could be calling the customer to correct the missing information. I actually like it a lot better, but it is def an adjustment. But we were very ill prepared for the change and have so much backlog its not even funny. We'll get through it, I'm sure, but its tough.

I went in for dress alterations last sunday, and while I thought I was making progress, I fit into my dress LESS this time than I did last time. ARRRRR!!!! They took my bra off & finally got it to zip up, thank goodness, but damn I was pissed. Its so structured I don't need a bra anyways. >.< So I'm running on the elliptical every night w/ ankle weights on & attempting to snack less, which seems to be working alright actually. But we'll see if it makes any real progress. *crosses fingers*
Huston & I went & applied for our marriage license this morning, one month exactly before the wedding. :) We've reserved our B&B room for the nights after the wedding, we've put the deposit down for the DJ, ordered our best man's coat (he'll have to pay us back later, but I can't wait any longer), and now I need to figure out how many tables/centerpieces are going to be needed, and how much the buffet is going to set us back, how much we have left for rental equipment, etc. But the buffet can't be figured out until the rsvps are all in!! >.> In a week & a half I will begin my weekly trips up to Canton, the first being for my bridal shower on May 24th. W00t to getting presents LOL! Week after that is my baby brother's graduation & bday. Also is the week of my "final planning meeting" with our venue. Next weekend is Huston's cousin's wedding, and then the week after that I'm just staying in Canton to finish getting ready for the wedding. I have to manage enough money to pay the DJ, photographer, hotel, venue.... a lot. I also need to sit down & talk to my parents & his parents w/ how the money will be handled. I keep worrying that I haven't taken care of something yet, but sometimes I think I'm just going crazy. >.>

Huston's waiting to hear on a job from Amazon. Until his recent face to face interview, he was a bundle of nerves. He's more relaxed about it now, but he's just antsy. But now I'm a bundle of nerves because I'm a little torn about it. I'm glad he's going to possibly get a job he loves, or will like better anyways, and make more, etc etc etc, but if he does, that means we're stuck in Cincinnati for another full year instead of leaving at the end of this current lease. Its definetely worth it, so its not like I don't want him to get the job, but I cannot stress enough how ready I am to get out of here & be in Seattle.

Speaking of Seattle, we bought our plane tickets for PAX this year. $274 a pop, not bad, yeah? I was pleased, and charged it. XD PAX is shaping up pretty much awesome this year, I'm so stoked to get back out there & see everyone, have an awesome time running around... just... yeah. :) I miss you guys! *hugs [ENFORCERS]*

I got my "GeekyHearts" business cards today. My title is "PAX [ENFORCER]." Hell yeah.

Been playing soccer most Sunday evenings w/ my friends down here in Cinci. Its been a LOT of fun, and its def whipping me into shape, but due to me being out of town for the next month, this coming Sunday will be the last for a while. :( But I'm having fun, its good times.
