So...

What to report. Hmm...

My car is currently in the shop and looking at around $1000 in repairs just to be able to pass smog so I can register it. That is just the rough estimate though. It could be more or less, depending on what they find. I dropped it off on Wednesday and I haven't heard anything yet which doesn't surprise me. They need to find some difficult parts for it. This, of course, is complicated by the fact that my car is half Estonian/half german/half Chinese. The joy of a '99 Jetta...
While my car is in the shop i have been taking the train to school, which is pretty handy. There is a stop by my apartment (literally next door) and one directly across the street from campus. The only issue is the extra walking which has my leg hurting again. I held off as long as I could but my registration is up at the end of January so it was now or impound (again).

In other news...

Goofing around on iTunes I found an album I have been dying to find for years: Kiss in the Dreamhouse by Siouxsie and the Banshees. My copy was left trapped inside the wreckage of my old car. I tried to get it out at the junkyard but I didn't have pliers with me. It went out of print for several years and it's doubtful I'd see a re-release any time soon. This is my favourite album of theirs and, arguably, their best album. I was very pleased to find it. I also got the first album by Girl in a Coma who I had seen on Logo's music video show one time. They are a trio of saucy Texas latinas who play kick ass rock that shows influences from Siouxsie and the Banshees and 90s riot grrl bands. It's called Both Before I'm Gone and I highly recommend it.

That is all for now. I'm going back to my re-reading of Orlando by Virginia Woolf, one of my favourite novels of all time. Laters...
