I want to preface the delicate material contained in this post with a note: I am perfectly safe and sane and value my life and the people in it very much.I've finally sought help for everything. I went to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) once more, but this time filed my need for an appointment with a doctor as "urgent" ever since I

Academics: I know that the Academic Probation deans are pretty much the most intimidating ones, which is really unhelpful. I'm really close with one of the freshman deans though, Dean Hogan, and she is AMAZING. If you want to just meet up to talk to someone who isn't judgmental and scary, she would be glad to do so. She did not have a perfect GPA either when she was an undergrad, so she actually understands what it's like from your perspective. Plus, she knows how scary it is to meet with the deans, so she's always available to just meet up for a chat at ABP or something. Also she's unbelievably sweet and down-to-earth and has a great sense of humor. Let me know if you want to talk to her.
I do not like my doctor at CAPS either. I don't like talking to her because she seems to judge everything I say and just make me feel worse. I had much more success working with the people in the Counseling center (who are psychologists rather than psychiatrists). But the truth is, it's a very intimate issue, and I think it's hard to find someone who's completely perfect for you without a bit of searching and a lot of money. I started out with medication paired with therapy, but now am just on the meds and so don't see my therapist anymore. Let me know if you want to talk more about those options, too. And don't despair - I know it sucks when the person who's supposed to be able to help you isn't right either. But you've taken a big and important step so don't give up now.
Also I love you! Hang in there! xoxo
