Being a monster, basically. Having a barrier and familiars. Dropping grief seeds. Stuff like that.

Barriers are what witches put up to trap in humans to eat. They look like nightmares, kind of.

Grief seeds are the witch's soul.

Hey, Casti, you know how my soul's not attached to my body? I need to use the grief seed to keep it from not turning completely dark, so I can't use my magic anymore.

Souls can corrupt, yes; it's how demons are produced in my world. However, use of magic is not a factor, it takes a great deal of time, and other souls can't purify the corrupted one.

[He's totally interested though, considering souls are something of a special focus of his at the moment, as he may or may not be doing something nefarious-for-good-intentions with them back home. Maybe. We should know for sure Friday.]

[Because the closest thing she has to demons in her world right now are witches. :| Well, they have demons later. But shhhh.]

I'm not certain how it would work here, or in other worlds. Demons and their kin seem to vary from world to world just as angels and other beings do.

[Raven was half-demon, after all, and nothing like what a half-demon from Castiel's world was. Some worlds seemed more similar than others, and some were completely different. He's really pretty curious about the relationships between them.]
