Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today...
So Christmas has officially come and gone. Santa Claus was good to me, and I can't complain. :) All that commercial junk aside, I had a wonderful day. Nonie was here, as is custom, and the Horne's came too. It was pretty magical to spend my time with those who I love the very most. We had our share of laughs, especially when the carbon monoxide detector kept going off and the fire department had to come check things out. My wonderfully insane mother, wine glass in hand, chose to scream out "bye Hootie!" as one of the heroic firefighters (looking much like Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish) exited the premises. Lizard and I got our kicks in over that one and kidnapped the onion dip on our way to the couch. Then Kate rolled in after dinner for some more laughs and a slice of chocolate cream pie. All in all, I have nothing but positive memories to coast me on into the New Year.
As far as vacation goes, it's been a good one. I've caught up with a few old friends. Ben has been home for the week, which is pretty much the best gift of all. We've spent all of our time being stupid and driving around like the old days. :) Tuesday night we got mini ice cream sundaes from Mickey D's and sat around, listening to the Doors and talking about nonsense. Then we ventured into Barnes & Noble. I don't really know how to explain things between us now, but he's still my favorite person to waste time with.
So, with that, I'll leave you. My mother is wrapped up in my bed, cuddling with my heated blanket, and snoring like Santa. Kiss kiss.
