That is the impression I've been getting. I've heard a few things about what happened last week.

I'm not sure, if I should feel fortunate to have avoided that or not.

I'd say it's fortunate. [If only because she knows Alexei is smart enough to see Kusanagi and Noel at different times and put two and two together. >> Also, ignoring that second part.]
