The worst experiment for a lot of people will be Halloween. October last year. Bad hallucinations for everyone.

It's a holiday in some places. I'm not that familiar with it, but it seems to be the time of year for dressing up in spooky costumes and trying to scare people. The Malnosso just decided to take it that one step further.

The only other one I can think of is around Valentine's Day. Which is in just over a week, actually. People tend to fall in love with each other for no apparent reason.

...I'd avoid your journal from the 14th for a couple weeks if you can manage it.

Why the journals in particular?

Not sure on that one...a few worlds seem to be familiar with it, but ours wasn't. You'd be better off asking someone else in that regard.

The journals, though... last year they arranged it so that during the experiment, the first person you spoke to on your journals was the one you fell in love with.

Well the journals are given to us by the Malnosso. Don't trust them as far as you can throw them. [She taps hers for emphasis.] And some experiments are similar, but apparently the only one that repeats every year is this Valentines one coming up.

Perhaps. Then if everyone knew that the journal might be related to the experiment, don't you think they will change it up this time?

Maybe. Last year people were forewarned. They changed up the time of the experiment, not the method.
