Either way. California EASILY elected Barack Obama president, and then voted to take many of its citizens rights away.

It's shameful.

Yeah, it is shameful. But it's even more shameful to blame certain ethnic groups for the passage of these bills. Homophobia caused these bills to pass, not black people or hispanic people, and it's divisive to think so.

I wasn't blaming anyone. I was stating facts that were reported. A large percentage of all ethnic groups are homophobic and all those ethnic groups are to blame.

I do however, regardless of percentages, find it disheartening when anyone from a minority votes to take equal rights away from other minorities.

Regardless of ethnicity, 61% of Californians voted to put Obama in office. 13% of those people voted for hope, for change and for progress while taking hope, change and progress away from their fellow citizens. It just amazes me that no matter how far we go, we always have to go backward with fervor.
