Wesley

Still trying to figure out where in the bloody blazes his glasses had gotten of to; Wesley rubbed his thumb over his temple. This simply wouldn't do, he was going to have to cross-examine Gene. Since Bernard had no idea where they had gotten off to. And Gene was a sneaky, very independent little bugger.

"What?" He looked up startled at Giles question and his jaw clenched automatically as it usually did when a topic came up he didn't really want to talk about. "It's alright," he lied, indicating the none to clear world. It was blurry and certainly now he preferred that.

In the past he used his glasses to hide behind from the world. These days he didn't use his glasses to hide the world from him. "I just keep forgetting them," he shrugged, since these days that was mostly true. He did forget them, albeit on purpose in the beginning. If he were to guess he had to say it was now an automatism to just forget about them.

"I'm probably getting old," he murmured, mustering up a smile for Giles as he put his hand over the one on his knee. He gave his lover a squeeze back and closed his eyes for a moment. Good lord, he had this inkling of an idea that this was going to be a tiring day.

Giles

"I see," Giles said with a sigh, very aware that his tone said he didn't believe Wesley one bit, but not caring. He understood that Wesley didn't want to discuss it, that was one thing. It was that Wesley lied to him instead of simply saying that. "Well, it will probably go better if we can get you to stop forgetting," he ventured, pulling into the mall's parking lot and almost groaning at the sight of all those damned cars.

This, he feared, was going to take a while.

Wesley

Wincing at the tone of his lover's voice, - and how much was he starting to hate it when Giles used the words 'I see' - Wesley quickly jerked his head around to stare out the window. At least the man hadn't removed his hand. Yet.

Bringing up his free hand, he started to chew on the nail of his thumb. He found it had actually been quite a while since he'd done that, considering there actually was something to chew. God, it felt as though his head was going to explode any moment now. He closed his eyes and tried to take a few deep breaths until he felt Giles park the car much sooner then he had anticipated.

He blinked his eyes open and looked around confused for a moment. He must've dozed off for a second or so. "Right, well," he stared, opening the door and getting out. He waited till Giles had locked the car and then joined him while they walked to the mall. Damn, it was busy. "I suppose you know where this optician is?" Wesley had no clue. Bookstores yes, the rest? Not a sodding clue.
