Valentine's Day

I agree with people who say that Valentine's day is a way for companies to make millions of dollars off all these people that are in "love" and so on. BUT.....I love Valentine's day, even if I don't get flowers and candy and a teddy bear. I don't think that it is a stupid holiday or that it sucks. Even when I didn't have a boyfriend, I still liked the idea of it....I was probably miserable but that doesn't matter. It's funny how all these people that don't have "true" love will sit here and bash Valentine's day but if they have a boyfriend they've been going out with for a while, it's a WHOLE different story. All of a sudden they love this holiday.

I don't care if some company is making money off of Eli......because I know that whatever he gets me I will treasure forever and have something to remember from our first valentine's, even if someone else in the world has the exact same piece of jewelry, or the exact same teddy bear, or the exact same dead flowers hanging on my wall (after the holiday of course). Presents from the heart are great too......those can be given on other holidays that aren't dedicated to love or vice versa, but it's nice to get something real nice from the person you love sometimes (especially on the "day of love"). Honestly I wouldn't be mad if I didn't get anything. It's happened before.

This holiday is basically for us to drop everything around us and focus on one person in our life. Alot of people are very busy and can't do some of these things that people do on valentine's everyday, or every week. That's prolly why this is a great holiday....it gives us a day to make up for it. Even if you don't buy something for the other person, just spending the day with that person knowing that this day is especially for them is enough. It's just a break in the year for couples to focus on one thing that is very important to them.....love. So don't hate.

So HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! :)
I love you Eli.....can't wait to see you this weekend.
