You are right that we're few and far between, but I'd like to think I can appreciate good music and good wine.

It is my pleasure to provide the City with something better than is currently available.

If I recall correctly, I have spoken to your sister. She was quite interested in cards and their meaning.

You ought to be better appreciated for it too.

Have you? She has a keen interest tarot cards--fortune-telling cards, I mean. I hope she wasn't a bother to you.

Perhaps, but I'm not counting on it.

Our conversation revolved around that topic. So young yet so interested in what the future holds.

She's unbearably remarkably curious that way. I'm not surprised her curiosity would extend to the future.

Though I don't really like to mention it, she eked out a living telling fortunes on streetcorners in London before we were reunited. Even I have to admit she has a talent for it, though I doubt the reliability of things like tarot cards.

Talent should never be wasted. In this case, however, perhaps better channeled to other pursuits.

And what of you, Cain Hargreaves? Last I have heard was from when Lucien the librarian was your Vizier.

I agree, though she's rather resistant to it: she prefers to do as she pleases. But she comes by that honestly.

Then it has been a while since we've spoken. I'm quite well, thank you. You've met my sister, and my manservant is in the City now as well, so I'm remarkably content with my lot, curses included.

And yourself, sir? Obviously you've been involved in preparing your business for its opening.

You are faring well then, I presume.

It is something to keep myself preoccupied. You do know what they say about the devil and idle hands.

Very well, thank you.

Oh I do, quite well. I'm glad you've found a way to keep yourself amused then. And I hope it comes to great success.
