Since I haven't been home for a while, I'll just start my update with the start of my holiday rather than anything else, mostly because I'm not entirely sure about dates and such so am kind of out of it.
Friday night, after work I came home, picked up my stuff and went to my Dad's where we all hung out a little before me, Dad and Lee (my step-sister's boyfriend) went to my nanna's to crash. I was left with a choice of bed, either share a double bed with my Dad, share an inflatable matress with Lee, or sleep on a rug on the floor somewhere... I chose the floor. I got very little sleep but it's ok.
Saturday, the big day! I remembered the CDs, the rings and the groom, I thought I was doing a good job as best man. For those who don't know, my father was getting married and I was best man. I looked fantastic! If I dare say so myself, pictures will follow at some point for you all to judge. It was a nice ceremony at Stockton registry office, everyone walked in to Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden and everyone was crying, the person reading the lines was also near tears. They exchanged vows, apparently honour and obey is now honour and respect, who knew that needed changing? *laughs* Then everyone left to This I Promise You by Ronan Keating and a shower of confetti. We went round the back and took some pictures in the small garden they have set up there before going for our meal. We went to Borge's, they don't normally open that time but opened speically for us, which was cool. I had an amazing steak but got some funny looks from family when I asked for it medium-rare... After that we headed to Ropner park for more pictures and random wanderings. We posed all over the place and just generally had a nice afternoon in the sun. Once back at Dad's there was a small party, it was good, I got drunk and ended up sat in the kitchen with my cousin discussing music, she has some taste but then likes some crap as well. I now have a step-mum and two step-sisters, one of whom has a daughter. Just when you all thought my family couldn't get bigger...
Sunday, the newly-weds left for their honeymoon, dropping me off for Middlesbrough Music Live on their way to the airport. I had an ok day, bumped into a lot of people. I would have preferred to spend more time with a certain girl but that just wasn't meant to be. I met Boz during the day and felt VERY awkward and such around her, I tried not to let it show but I think it was obvious, I don't think I can be her friend. Ah well, I saw Nine Lives for Sky Dives (pretty much the only reason I was there at all) and they were awesome again! Made my day. Me, Becky and Matt left early to get food, I ended up not eating and heading back to the crypt, after a short amount of bouncing and a quick drink I met back up with my favourite couple at Matt's house. We sat in the kitchen for a bit, the conversations bounced around some very disturbing topics but it was all good fun, it ended up with me, Becky and Matt sat in the living room until about 2am. At this point Becky was nice enough to give me a lift back to Dad's where I started my week on my lonesome.
Monday, I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which I really liked! Everyone said it got confusing and they tried to fit too many storylines into it but I followed it fine and really enjoyed everything about it. Except that Callipso did next to nothing, I was expecting a massively vengeful spree of violence and destruction, but all I was granted was a whirlpool... Nevermind eh? I decided against a night out and headed back to dad's to watch random DVDs.
Tuesday was my movie day, I had nothing else to do and sitting at home would have been boring as hell. I went to see Wedding Daze, which was rather amusing and better than I thought it would be. Followed by Paradise Lost, which was a bit shit but somewhat entertaining, if only for the surgery scene. The Hitcher was last on the cards for the day, which was a great movie! Normally remakes are a bit crappy but this was really good, I mean how can you hate a movie where the car chase music is Closer by Nine Inch Nails?? I then walked back, a bad idea, but I did it.
Wednesday, I chilled out all day, watching DVDs, I think I watched Zombie Honeymoon which really made me laugh and Hard Candy which was a bit of a head trip... I decided that Blackout would be a good idea. I drank all the alcopops left over from the party on saturday and had a few vodka and lemonades, needless to say I was a little tipsy, so when I was attacked on the way into town by random chavs I didn't exactly feel it. I was still a little shaken so I texted Ray and went round there, it's really nice to ahve friends you can count on, even if all you want is a glass of council pop and a conversation. I got to Blackout where I continued to drink. It ended up me and lee were dancing round half naked. At the end of the night, me, Lee, Gareth, Paul (I think his name was), Trudi and Rebecca headed back to Lee's house where we watched Kerrang for a bit before putting the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on. During which we messed about with a baseball bat, Gareth's spiked accessories and a crossbow. I seem to remember shooting Trudi with the crossbow, entirely by accident, I was aiming at Gareth... Trudi, Paul and Rebecca left, then we put the Crow on.
At around 8 in the morning me and Gareth headed home, wandering unfamiliar streets and ending up getting home. Once back at my dad's around 10-11, I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep. I woke up around 5ish and got ready for the Crown, on my way into Stockton I was attacked again, this time I was hit on the head with a stick, I just carried on, one of those "I've had worse from a 15 year old emo kid in a mosh pit" kind of things. I went to the crown for the bands where I met a few people I know, the first badnt o play were awesome, I really enjoyed their set, the second band weren't. In the Crown I met Terri and Aimee who were out with one of their mates I didn't know, but I was sat with them anyway. I had fun, but got scratched by Terri and Gareth, Terri drew blood that still hasn't healed... I also noticed the crown has an exceptionally hot redheaded barmaid, who I couldn't stop thinking about all night. After the bands and a quick headbanging session to SOAD I headed over to Blaises, which was, again, an amazing night out. It ended up with me, Lee and Chris dancing half naked and such. I also got smacked in the stomach in the toilets, not in a malicious way, just in a, let's see if this hurts, way. It did. I was introduced to a new drink by Lee, vodka and coke with blackcurrant in it, was a really nice drink but went down too easily. So after my spell in the crown, where I was buying drinks excessively then that I was rather wasted and I think I may have annoyed Becky with my drunken ramblings. Afterwards I started chatting to some people and went for pizza with them, I think I annoyed them, I don't think they approved of me tagging along with them. I ate my pizza while walking home. By the time I made it to Stockton I was absolutley shattered so I started taking little breaters on benches I found along my way. When I was sat on one a guy came over and gave me some leaflets about Jesus and how to get into heaven, though it sounded more like a clut, was actually rather amusing and kept my mind occupied while I walked the rest of the way home.
Friday, I woke up and chilled out nursing a hangover and various other pains until it was time to go to Persecution. Another great night out, though I did get a little drunk. I danced my ass off but I think I made an idiot out of myself. Once again I ended up topless... I had a really good night, messing about on the dancefloor with the ever scary Vicki. I walked back to my home (mother's) as I had work.
Saturday, I went to work, which was ok, I had a laugh and talking to those people was just as fun as I remember. Afterwards I headed into Middlesbrough where I watched "Are we done yet?", which was ok, but the humour was obvious and rarely made me smile. I then got some food and killed time before meeting Ray, Arfan and Jenny for Ocean's Thirteen, which I really enjoyed. After the movie, me, Ray and Jenny went for all you can eat chinese, I only managed a couple of courses as my stomach's been a bit wierd lately, not been able to fit as much in as I used to be able to. Got the train back to stockton then a taxi back to Dad's.
Sunday, headed to see Ray at about 3, we played in the back garden for a bit with staff, poi and devil sticks, was good fun to mess about with that stuff again. Arfan joined us and we headed out, decided Castle eden walkway would be a good idea, and it was! Except me and Ray went up a hill to explore, then on the way back down I twisted my ankle. We headed back to Ray's after a while and ended up playing on the Wii, which I wasn't bad at for a first timer, I got a hole in one, on the golf! The baseball was the most fun though, I loved it despite sucking very badly... I was given a lift home by Arfan where I blitzed the cleaning. I then collapsed, exhausted and watched some movies, Robin Hood Pince of Thieves and Jumanji to be precise. My father and Angie got back at around 1:30am, so we chatted for a bit. They brought me a bottle of absinthe and a new dagger! The dagger was a present for being best man, the absinthe was for taking care of the house. I was a happy chap! We had a cup of tea then headed up to bed.
Now we find ourselves back at monday, I was given a lift back here by my Dad and have been catching up online since. I plan to later go shower and get some food. Should be fun.
