my first thespian state festival was all at once tiring, mind-blowing, awe-inspiring, life-changing, scarring, eye-opening, and exhilarating.

tuesday night: got to the hotel. partied (almost). tampa is like one block of new york. adorable. with a bunch of random modern art pieces strategically placed, and the cutest little mini-central park.

wednesday: went to TBPAC, got our badges and booklets, and saw some amazing one-acts at ferguson. got dressed up for opening ceremonies and ogled morsani hall to no end.

thursday: went to the convention center for the first time (i think....) and watched "seven a.m." they got a superior! holllaaa. i kinda forgot what else we did that day, but we headed over to morsani at 1 to unload the truck. unloaded, rebuilt, replaced, organized, and filled morsani with our presence. performed in front of 2,552 people (a sold out house) and experienced the most beautiful moment of my 16 year old life.

friday: i honestly cannot remember. lmfao. attempted to do a workshop, ended up not doing it, saw more IE's, blah blah blah, convention center, TBPAC, blahhhhhhh shopping. saw noises off! at night.

saturday: did "save the children". got an excellent. walked all over the place. saw more IE's. shopped more. got excited for closing ceremonies. skipped dinner and used curlers for the first ( and goddamn last) time. everyone looked phenomenal in their crazy dresses and suits. enjoyed the closing ceremonies, especially michael j. higgins' sequined jacket, mr. cerra's emotional state, and critic's choices. WENT TO THE FREAKING STATES ORGY/DANCE. sweated like a mofo while grinding with people i just didn't know. loved it.

sunday: came home around 1:30ish. unloaded the truck. struck the set. felt useless and lonely and scared without les miserables. there's a huge hole in my life now that it's gone.

oh man.
