Luther is vaguely bemused by the flowers, for reasons he wouldn't be able to explain if asked, but he doesn't actually say anything. Sometimes there's really nothing to say. Times like this.

"S-so..." April's still shaking. She can't help it. If they do this, Luther's going to have to deal with things. She's barely capable of being more than an object to fuck at this point.

He can tell - he's been around junkies quite enough to know. Hell, he is a junkie, come down to it, though he tends not to think of himself that way, he's separate somehow, in some indefinable way. He's got to wonder, though, why it took her so long to ask, if she's so desperate.

"Can't make this a habit, sweetheart," he says after a moment, watching her face. Need to set that out there, right now. As much for his sanity as anything else. It's simpler when it's just money.

Many reasons. She couldn't find him. She wasn't sure she wanted to find him. Tom.

"I know. I just..." she swallows. "I need t-to find a way of getting money." It hasn't even occurred to her to try just making it appear. And even if it had, that wasn't right. It might not work, back in the real world. It might disappear. And it's wrong.

There's a slight nod. He can't really offer her any help with that - even if he could, whether she has a job or not is not his concern. Not really. Just as long as she understands.

"Alright. I'll cover you this time, but that's it." Not for nothing, naturally. He doesn't for Cecily, didn't for Sophie - though with Sophie, it was more that it was all he could get out of her, the only way he could get so close to her... but it still stands.
