[email log] [opposite plot] 1.4 - the bimbo and the big secret

Apr 30, 2009 00:38

Summary:After narrowly escaping being jailed or mocked by Alice and John, Morgan finds Daniel who also doesn't want to share with her. He's rescued by Tim, who learns a lesson in patience from his teacher, and is rescued, in turn, by Elphaba, who has Big Plans.

Everyone is so mean. Tim won't let her have sex with Kon. Alice and John won't have glowy light sex...she maybe can't even do that anymore, glowy sex. With brains instead of bodies. Maybe that makes it zombie sex. Zombies like brains. She learned that from the movies in class. Maybe Harry's zombie dinosaur liked brains too.

She can ask Daniel. Daniel knows everything. And if Daniel doesn't know, Tim will know. Because he knows more than everything. At least he thinks he does. He doesn't know everything though. He doesn't know her boobs tingle when it's going to rain, or when it is raining, or when she forgets something. He probably knows they tingle when she's having sex. She might even have told him that. She can't remember.

But it doesn't matter, because that's Daniel, and she was coming to see Daniel before John and Alice wouldn't have sex with her. So, this is totally good. Running to Daniel with her arms and legs windmilling and her hair going every different way and the wind in it feels good.

"Daniel! Daniel, do zombie dinosaurs eat brains?" Or was that have sex with brains? She can't remember.

"Do what, now, Morgan?" He can't have heard her right. Zombies? Brains? Unless the island has come up with a new and disastrous way to screw them over, he's fairly sure that they don't need to worry about zombies. Especially not zombie dinosaurs. There'f something about the way she was moving, too....

"Are you okay? Is everything all right?"

"Zombie dinosaurs," she says a little impatiently, skidding in front of him and almost falling. But she grabs him by the arm to hold herself up. Then her boobs tingle and she remembers she wanted to hug him. Or maybe have sex with him. She frowns, then shrugs, then launches herself at him, hugging tightly and not letting go.

He's not just smart and handsome. He feels good, too. Lots of muscles. Maybe Daniel will have sex with her!

She kisses the side of his neck, then turns her face up to him - except she's almost as tall as he is so that doesn't really work - but her mouth is pretty and her eyes are wide so maybe he'll kiss her. "I'm good. Really good. Totally good. Except that John and Alice won't have brain sex with me. And zombies like brains and Harry made a zombie dinosaur once. So I need to know if zombie dinosaurs eat brains." Or was that have sex with brains? Oh, who cares. "Anyway, I'm great. How're you? Are you different too?"

"Uhhh...." Daniel pats her back, looking around as if maybe he was being filmed or something. It's impossible, of course, but he's not entirely sure what was going on. He startles a little when she kisses his neck and pulls back a little. Different.

"No. I'm pretty sure I'm not different." That doesn't sound good at all. "What do you mean by different?" Then again, it's fairly obvious. She's more like some kind of bubbly....something other than Morgan le Fey.

"I don't know," she singsongs, head tilting back and forth. She doesn't seem different to her, but Tim says she is. And Tim knows almost everything. "I feel good. Except when I forget things and my breasts tingle. They remind me. Like an...um, alarm?"

Daniel's not kissing her and he hasn't answered her about... Frowning, she stares down at her boobs and tries to remember. But she can't. Sighing, she shrugs again. "I don't know what's different. I look the same. I have the same clothes. But Tim says I'm different. And..." Oh, that's right. "I don't like the books in my hut or the computers. Tim says not to touch the computers because I might break them and then I'd be sad when I'm not different again. When I'm smart."

"When you're..." That ominous feeling that Daniel's started to feel in the pit of his stomach solidifies. He nods at her. "Well, then, Tim's right. You probably should leave them alone until everything sorts itself out. You know it'll only last a few days, right? I mean, I was a teenager again for a few days and then everything went back to normal." Well, he'd been a twenty-something, but he'd been younger and the finer points don't really matter right now.

He glances around again. This time he's not sure why, but he has a bad feeling that it's to look for rescue.

"Can I do anything in the meantime for you?"

Morgan smiles, pretty and soft - she is pretty, Bill tells her so all the time and Dick, too. And pretty girls should smile because it makes them prettier. Then people want to kiss them. But they shouldn't cry because crying makes them all blotchy and red and even if red looks good on her, it doesn't look good when it's in patches on her face. She doesn't feel like crying now, anyway.

"You're so nice to me," she says with a happy sigh and wraps her arms around his waist again. "I love you, Daniel. I knew you would be nice to me. Not like Tim who keeps telling me what to do." Blinking, she looks up at him. His eyes are pretty and blue. Dick and Tim both have pretty blue eyes. So does Kon, but she's not allowed to think about how pretty his eyes are because he's too young. Daniel's not as young as Kon even if he's younger than she is. "Do you want to have sex with me, Daniel? I wouldn't mind. If I could remember how, I'd have glowy brain sex with you. Because you're smarter than John and you'd be better at...com....com...sharing."

Oh. Oh god. Is Morgan really...coming on to him? Although it seems to be less of a come on and more of an offer. An offer he doesn't really want to think about because he just really doesn't want to make his life more complicated. And he's not interested. At all. It's...Morgan. And he can think of several people who would probably be unhappy if he slept with Morgan. Like Vala.

"I don't want to hurt Vala," he blurts. He flushes as if he'd said something more damning than not wanting to hurt her.

"Vala!" Morgan pushes away from Daniel to look past him, hoping to see her friend. She loves Vala so much. Vala's one of her best friends ever in the whole wide...universe, except Chaya. Chaya is her best friend. Wait, no, Merlin was her best friend. But he's dead, so Orlin and Oma and Chaya...but they might be dead, and she's dead too, isn't she? Her breasts are tingling so she can't be dead. That doesn't make any sense. She pokes a breast. "Ow. I can't be dead if it hurts when I poke myself, right?" Giving Daniel a wide-eyed look, she tilts her head and shrugs. "Anyway, we wouldn't hurt Vala. I love Vala, too. She could have sex with us--"

"Morgan, no." The order comes from behind her, sharp and annoyed. "If you don't get your hands off her, it's not Vala that's going to be hurt." Tim strides up, his face set and unamused. It softens to something vaguely genial as he actually looks at Daniel instead of just seeing someone possibly taking advantage of Morgan in her...condition. He's abruptly glad that it's unlikely that he'll ever have children if this is what having a daughter is like. Protecting Morgan from herself was turning into a full time job. "Hi, Dr. Jackson. Sorry about this. She got away from me."

"Tim?" He'd be amused in the change in Tim's tone when he realized who it was if Morgan hadn't just suggested a threesome with Vala. "Let me guess. The island's playing havoc again and Morgan's one of its latest victims?" He glances at Morgan and shakes his head. "Sorry, Morgan. Vala doesn't want to sleep with me, but I still don't want to hurt her. You know me. I like to make my life miserable."

There. That should maybe get her off of his back, never mind every one else's. He glances back at Tim. "Can I help at all? I'm pretty sure if this had happened to any of my other friends, I'd know about it already." Most of them live nearby.

Looking from one to the other, she slides around behind Daniel with her arms still wrapped around his waist. They're talking about her like she's not here and her boobs aren't tingling at all, because Tim keeps inter...screwing up everything good. From over Daniel's shoulder, she narrows her eyes at Tim. Mean and mad. She kisses Daniel's shoulder and whispers, "Vala wants to sleep with you. She likes sex and you're probably good at it. You should marry her," while he's still talking to Tim. If Daniel and Vala get married she could be a bridesmaid. That would be almost as good as having sex.

Her breasts itch now, so hard they're aching. She was going to do something. Not sex. What. Oh.

Morgan shoves off from Daniel's back and runs away as fast as she can toward the Compound. She can have fun there. And get away from Tim.

The Ancient takes off and Tim swears purely to himself. "If you see Kon, tie him to a tree," Tim says in reply to Daniel's offer to help then follows Morgan with the long-suffering jog of a man who has already put up with far, far too much.

Kon. Right. Daniel has no intention of looking for Kon. Instead, he makes a beeline for Jack's hut. Hopefully, if Morgan comes back to try to find him, she won't know where Jack lives. It won't last forever, but it'll give him a little sanity.

Damn it! Tim saw her. Of course he did. He's smart and perfect. And mean. Pouting, Morgan looks back over her shoulder. "Go away, Tim. I don't need your--" She stumbles over a loose stone and goes flying forward onto her hands and knees. "Ow." When she looks down, her dress is dirty and torn and her hand is bleeding from a little cut. The blood makes her want to puke. She gags and makes a face, tears starting up in her eyes even though she's going to be blotchy and ugly. But no one will want her in a torn dress anyway. "Help, Tim...please?" It's his fault and he's mean, but there's no one else around. Daniel's gone and she needs help.

Tim catches up with her and slides an arm around her waist to help her back to her feet. He's a sucker for a damsel in distress, even when he knows better. "Let me see," he tells her, taking her wrist. The cut isn't deep but it's probably a good idea to wash it out. "It'll be okay. I promise."

"Thank you! Thank you so much. You're my hero." She pulls her arm out of his hands and throws both around his neck, rubbing her face (not her boobs, Tim will get mad at her again) against his shoulder. If this was a movie like the ones from class, they would have a horse and a sunset and babies. But Tim's not just her hero. He's a SUPERhero so maybe they can't have babies. "Tim, can you have babies? Can superheroes get married and have babies, I mean?"

Maybe he's being punished. "Uh...yeah, I guess so?" Which isn't entirely accurate. The correct answer is yes, but it gets complicated quickly. It's dangerous for capes to have families. Connor Hawke is one of the few who grew up to be a hero in his own right. Donna's family didn't survive, nor did Arthur's, or Garth's. Wally and Linda are happy enough and the twins are doing well and of course there's Courtney... But it's dangerous. "Why?"

"Well!" she starts cheerfully, bloodied hand and torn dress completely forgotten but the tingling's there to tell her she did forget but when she tries to remember she can't. So it can't be important! Sliding her arm through his and leaning her head on his shoulder, she takes him to the Compound, but maybe he won't mind. Since he's being so nice now. "When a boy rescues a girl in a movie like the ones the Doctor shows us in class, they usually have babies. Happily ever after has to include marriage and babies, doesn't it? And superheroes are amazing and special and cool! So if heroes have happily ever after babies, superheroes should too." She nods and smiles. It's the smartest thing she's thought all day.

It doesn't hurt anything to let her lead right now. As long as he's with her, she can't get into any more trouble and he's definitely not going to have any trouble resisting her hysterically inappropriate suggestions. "Real life isn't always like the movies, Morgan. Sometime people aren't interested in getting married or having children. It's perfectly feasible for a person to live happily ever after without those things." He leaves off that it's also unlikely for any serious vigilante to ever live happily. The job is too all consuming for that.

Yay. Tim is letting her go to the Compound. Maybe she'll find Kon again and they can...well, not talk, because she wouldn't know what to say, but maybe they can cuddle. Tim and Dick were cuddling. Maybe Tim wouldn't mind if she cudddled with Kon. "Cuddling isn't sex is it? Would you be mad if I cuddled with Kon?" She doesn't wait for him to answer because Tim can think of everything at once. She's pretty sure he can because Tim's way smart. Smarter than anyone except Rodney and Daniel. Stopping in her tracks, she frowns. Where is Rodney? Where's Jill, too? Maybe they'll get married and have babies. And have a happily ever after. "Are you sure you can be happy without having babies and getting married? Happy movies end with weddings! Sad movies end with people alone. By themselves. With no babies."

"Stay away from Kon. He's not a good person right now," Tim replies as soon as she lets him respond. "The movies stop where the director wants them to stop. Real life goes on. I'm happy and I don't have any children. It's possible."

Her eyes widen again, smile getting huge and bright before she hugs him. Even if he was mean before and he doesn't want her to go near Kon, it's still good that Tim's happy. "You're a superhero. You should be super-happy! I'm glad you're happy." The tingling makes her think she's forgetting something. That makes her fluttery in her stomach because she doesn't like forgetting and she's been doing it a lot today. But it's okay right now because Tim's happy. Her eyebrows scrunch together. "Why are you happy?"

Because I'm in love. Tim can't tell her that, though he might when she's back to normal. Instead, he lifts his hand and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. "Because I have a good life with good friends. I have a good job. I have a great teacher and a wonderful boyfriend. This place is safe, mostly crime free and nothing that requires my level of expertise. I can pretty much have what I want out of life. It's nice."

Her stomach feels funny, fluttery, when he touches her. It's nice. She smiles at him and leans down to kiss him on the cheek, then giggles. "I should teach you something. What should I teach you? I can't teach you about boyfriends, because I had one, once but it wasn't good. I mean. He was good. And sex was good. But he wasn't a good boyfriend. No, that's not right. I wasn't a good girlfriend. I don't know, anyway, I don't think I can teach you about that because I'm not good at it. I just like boys a lot and maybe girls too. Is that weird? To like both?" The Compound's not far away now, she can see it. And her boobs tingle so she adjusts them and tries to think what she might be forgetting. Oh, ow. She rubs her forehead. It hurts when she thinks that hard. "I can teach you to have fun, maybe. I know how to do that. I think."

"No, Morgan. that's not weird. Some people like both." Which is how they ended up dating their older brother while still being in love with their murdered girlfriend. Tim never claimed his life wasn't complicated. "Right now, you're teaching me how to be patient. It's a lesson I forget sometimes."

"Oh good." She sighs, feeling ...um, there's a word, and she doesn't remember it. Better. It makes her feel better, what Tim says. She wasn't feeling bad before, or different, even though he said she isn't in her right mind whatever that means. But it worried her, liking girls and boys. And she's teaching him to be patient. Which means waiting. Not someone who goes to the doctor. Because Tim's a doctor. Not the Doctor, but a doctor. A, but only one A. Not like her necklace. "Patient is good, right?"

"Patience is a virtue," Tim agrees with a little smile to himself and then clarifies, because she's as clueless now as she is sharp usually, "It's a good thing. It's something that more people should try to be." They're nearly to the compound so he tries to plan for the next few minutes. He needs to get her a new dress and wash her hands before that cut gets infected.

"I don't think I'm very patient." She wants to be in the Compound Right. Now. No more waiting. But Tim doesn't like to run. Dick would run with her but Tim wants to walk so she'll walk. Tim's mean sometimes but he's being nice right now so she'll stay with him. "I forget what I want when I wait too long for it."

"You can tell me what you want. I'll remember for you and remind you when we get there." It's sort of sweet, when she gets melancholy like this. He should probably feel bad about thinking that but it's not like she'll remember that she's sad in two minutes anyway. She's right that she's got a memory like a goldfish.

Okay, he does feel bad about thinking that.

"Do you promise you won't get mad at me? Because I think you're going to get mad if I tell you I want sex and a boyfriend or a girlfriend and babies. But I don't think I can have babies with a girl." She screws up her face again, confused, but she doesn't think about it anymore because it makes her head hurt when she thinks too hard and Tim will tell her anyway. He's smart. "I want friends, too. Someone to have fun with. And maybe some cookies. Cookies make everything better."

He's been too hard on her. It's not her fault that she's everything that he doesn't have time for in anyone. That right now, she just radiates victim to him and it's hard to take her seriously. He pulls himself together and reminds himself of what she'd tell him if she was in her proper mental state. "I'm not going to be mad. I think that's a very nice thing to want. Probably the cookies are the best place to start right now." Did she know how to cook? Tim has no idea.

"Okay," she says, and smiles at him, then shrugs. They're almost at the Compound, now, anyway. She can find friends by herself. Probably. If she doesn't talk too much when she gets nervous. It's hard not to talk when she's nervous, words just come out and she can't stop them unless she puts her hand over her mouth. Right now her hand is...oh. She forgot. No wonder her boobs are itchy tingly. "I want a new hand and a clean dress, too." Oh. Her eyes go very wide and she can't stop giggling. "I mean a clean hand and a new dress. But I can do that by myself."

"I can help you if you want," Tim offers but without too much in the way of conviction. They're finally at the compound and he's more than a little relieved by that. He really does need to work on patience.

For whatever reason--maybe because of her wistful request for friends--she doesn't shake him off the second they get inside and he's able to help her wash up before taking her to the clothing box. She sulks at it until it coughed up a light purplish dress that she seizes on with a delighted shriek. Tim is sort of afraid that he's gone deaf. His ears are still ringing when they make it up to the rec room which is mostly empty but for a green woman working at the table.

Morgan runs her hands over her pretty new dress. "It's just like the one from when I had a boyfriend. Cameron. He liked my purple sundress. Maybe someone else will, too. And then I'd have a new boyfriend or girlfriend. Do you think--" Her eyes open wide and her boobs tingle and she's forgetting something, she knows she is but she doesn't know what. All she knows is that's Elphaba and Elphaba's really awesome. She shoves away from Tim to go see what the green woman is doing. "Hi Elphaba! What are you doing? I have a new dress. Do you like it?"

Elphaba looks up from the papers on her table and gives Morgan a solemn once over. "Yes, I like it very much. It looks nice on you. I'm working right now. It's very important."

She smiles and in the doorway, Tim relaxes. Elphaba is a calm, sensible person. Quiet and studious. It's perfectly safe to leave Morgan with Elphaba. "Morgan, I need to find Kon, okay?" He really doesn't think that she's listening, given the way she's twirling and posing for Elphaba but it's not like she'll remember he was here after five minutes have passed anyway. He slips away without waiting for an answer.

"I'm glad you like it. Tim helped me find it." Morgan beams happily at Elphaba and comes closer to see what she's working on. "My old one got torn when I fell. I was running away because Tim didn't want me to find someone to have sex with and have babies and get married. Kon likes me but Tim says he's too young." She can't quite see what Elphaba has, but it looks nice and Elphaba's amazing and green. So maybe she'll let Morgan help. And they could be friends. "What are you doing? Can I help? I'm good at..." She trails off, trying to think of something she's good at and it makes her head hurt. "Um." What did Tim say before? "I'm good at fun. And teaching people patience."

Elphaba bites her lip and looks at Morgan very seriously indeed, taking into account everything that she knows about Morgan. She's tall, which is good and pretty. She's a know it all, which is not so good, and she can get very bossy which Elphaba doesn't like At All. But Morgan is also pretty popular. Not too popular but not a total social outcast. It would do. "Can you keep a secret? I don't want anyone to know yet because it's really really important."

For a minute, Morgan thinks Elphaba is going to yell at her like Tim did. It makes her scared and she wants to run away and find Tim. Because after he was mean, he took care of her. But she's never going to make friends if she doesn't try. So she holds on to her necklace and waits. It's hard to be patient but she wants to be friends, so she doesn't even shuffle her feet. Her eyes get very wide when Elphaba asks her if she can keep a secret. She knows she can. It's easy. She'll just forget whenever she doesn't need to know. If she's not thinking about it, she'll forget even if she doesn't want to. Morgan nods, eyes big and round. "I won't tell anyone. I promise. Not even Daniel or Tim or Dick or..." She makes herself stop and nods again. "Anyone."

There's silence for several seconds as Elphaba considers if Morgan is really telling the truth or not. But she probably is. So Elphaba nods back and uncovers what she was working on. The page is pale blue and decorated with cut outs of white dresses and snippets of fabric swatches and pictures of flowers. "I'm getting married," Elphaba whispers, dark eyes wide.

Morgan waits and waits, and then Elphaba nods. Yay, a friend! Then Elphaba shows her the dresses and she doesn't know a lot of things but those are wedding dresses! And as soon as Elphaba says it, Morgan squeals. "Eeeeee!" Then she claps both hands over her mouth and giggles. "Oh my gosh, really? When? Who? That's so exciting. I'm so happy for you, Elphaba!"

Elphaba bounces up and down in her chair and giggles madly. "Soon! As soon as possible! Oh my GOODNESS do you know that I've been here three whole years and we never ever even talked about getting married? I'm going to marry Fiyero right away or someone else might try to take him from me." She stomps her foot a little and then giggles again. "So you have to help me because I have so much to do and I really need to work really hard on this because it has to be the most swankified stupendiferous party ever. And!" She pulls in a breath and her eyes get even bigger, like she can't contain her excitement but her voice drops back to that same loud whisper, "I want it to be a surprise party!"

She has to, she just has to. Morgan launches herself at Elphaba and gives her a big, huge hug. And her boobs are tingly madly like she's forgetting something horribly important but she doesn't care. What could possibly be more important than her friend Elphaba getting MARRIED. "A surprise wedding?"

Morgan giggles so hard she snorts, looks at Elphaba, embarrassed for a second, then giggles some more. She can't help it. Elphaba's eyes are like saucers. Flying saucers. And she's from outer space. Sort of. Elphaba's not. She's from Oz. She saw it in a movie, but Elphaba's much nicer than that mean old witch.

"That's such a good idea. I don't know what swankified stupendifierous is except it sounds big and fun and I like fun and I like weddings and babies and boys and girls and kissing and I like you too. So if you want--" Morgan gets very quiet, suddenly, hand around her necklace. "Um, if you want...me to...I'd really like to help."
