The doors and windows have been flung wide open - the better to catch what little air moves down here - and all are wreathed in twining Delphinium and Lilies, perfuming the hot air that wafts down this particular street of the Bazaar, into the building itself. "The blond all in white, flitting about, is my belle--Narciso. I am sure you in the most likely have already heard enough of the reputation. The blond speaking to the taller, dark-haired man is Nathan Attford-my closest friend-and the man is his partner Bartholomaew. Mostly an artist and a fellow detective, respectfully. The woman with the hair over there is--someone you should watch your personal belongings around, in any case. But she claims to be a scientist as well...a chemist. She is speaking with a Mr. Theodor Gylden. I am also sure that his reputation is sufficient. Eris Fnord is our host, so I should hope that you in the least know of her. A seamstress and the owner of this and another tailor shop. There is Louis Plumb." Gesturing at a tall red haired man. "I highly-recommend a visit to his shop. "A Shop Above A Bookshop" that sells everything from glass & metal flowers, to life-belts for Unterzee travel. His shopkeeper is the tiger over there--Manisha. And his cats are also somewhere here in attendance...I think that they are his cats, in any case. The young man over there with the doctor bag is Dr. Tantaquidgeon...a dentist, as he so claims. Miss Polly is the little girl over there speaking to a cat. One of my clients, but I do not know much else about her. A very clever and capable girl, however! And the gentleman wear the scarf is Mr. Israel Salvador. ...I would try to make your first impression with him a very good one. ..." A little sigh. "The woman in red silk is Ms. Laura Riding, who I have not had much conversation with since the last of these events that I attended. An actress. Then there is Mr. Gabriel Flynn--also a fellow detective." Another look around, pausing. "The tall boy with the sketchbook is...Mr. Becquerel Curie. I only met him once before this evening. The same for the shorter boy in the spectacles--Mr. Bel Falkenrath. I also have only spoken on one occasion to the...dandy in the midnight-blue suit. His name is Mr. Nigel Overstreet, and him, my belle, and me went drinking once after he kept calling me 'Ellis'." Cassius makes a little face. "And lastly of those I am acquainted with are Ms. Helen Demeter...who you also may know of, but who I only spoke with twice before. And Middy-the woman in the fancy suit-who seems to be some-sort of adventurer. ...Has a lot of animals and has been to Mutton Island--where my belle and me are going soon." The let out an exhale, drawing in another breath. "I do not know the boy over there speaking to Miss Polly, or the dark-haired woman over there." They point at Mary Dare.
