Sorry I haven't updated this in a while... I was too busy having the best fucking week of my life!!
Words cannot describe how great this week was. I mean, no period of time has ever been so wonderful, with the exception of maybe 2003 as a year in general. Because that was a damn good year.
Anyways. It started out Easter Sunday... Nothing really extraordinary went down until my cousin came. Then we went outside and played a somewhat exaggerated form of volleyball... You know, without a net or any actual rules or anything. My cousin made a bad hit, and told me that it was the winds fault. I said something along the lines of, "Sure... blame the wind," resulting in Blame It On The Rain somehow magically popping it's way into my head. Which seemingly sparked some sort of extraordinary performance of random songs, courtesy of me. Said performance, which included such songs as She Blinded Me With Science (complete with me yelling out "SCIENCE!" really loudly...) as well as Don't Fear The Reaper, managed to startle and, I'm sure, confuse the innocent children next door who were carrying out an egg hunt of sorts. Fun times.
Then came Monday. What a piece of work, that Monday... School wasn't anything great, but compared to my expectations it was pretty damn swell. But the real fun started when I got home from school. I went out to get the main and low and behold, the merchandise I ordered from the OK Go store was there in all its OK Go related glory. That was excitement enough, but guess what happened next! Something along the lines of, say... going to Best Buy! Oh, yeah! And also, there was some Media Play and Wal Mart involved. All together I got three CD's, an umbrella of GLORY!, and an AWESOME container. Also, at one point I got my hair "trimmed"... Yeah. It was awesome.
Nothing extraordinary went down Tuesday night, but nothing terrible happened either, so, you know... I can't complain.
Now Wednesday. Well, Wednesday fucking ruled. When I got home from escuela it was off to Verona for some fun Duran Duran concert times. The car ride was a bore. But it always is... Except I listened to my new CD's (something that has become somewhat of a rare occurance, despite the fact that, really, it should be enforced...) and made it known that 12:35 to 1:35 is Conan watchin' time. My mom made some sort of "clever" remark about how they didn't have cable (apparently someone didn't want to watch Conan...), and I told her that Conan is on NBC. Oh, was she shown then! Well, anyways. We got to the hotel and what not, and I got all paranoid that I had broken the shower. You see, it had been making this weird sound while I was in it, and since I have no idea how the hell to operate hotel showers, I had stood there for at least ten minutes pulling on random knobs to see if maybe I could actually manage to turn the damn thing on, so I thought that I had had a lot to do with the causing of that noise. But I digress. So about seven we went to get seated and such. People found it amusing when I asked for gum despite the fact that I was chewing some in the elevator. And as we waited we discussed such things as the kids in our school and their drug habits, how fucking terrible our class was in the eigth grade (we really were bad...), and how my OK Go sweatshirt, while yes, was not the right band, still ruled. And just because we were not at an OK Go concert did not mean that wearing said sweatshirt was "inappropriate" because it sooo wasn't! Then during the opening act (never did catch the bands name. *shrug*) I got confused and, well... Apparently the lead singer wasn't male. And I guess really I had no real reason for assuming that, what with the fact that she was rather feminine (shut up, you guys. I thought she was a real feminine guy, okay?!), but hey. It happens. A lot if you're me... Anyways, during the show mother got all pervey over Simon and I was more than a little creeped out by that... And really, that's all that happened. I mean, a lot more happened, but I don't feel like typing all of it. My hands hurt, and there's a lot of week to go. Just know that it ruled. And then, we went back to the hotel room for some Family Guy fun, the parents went to gamble, and I watched some TV. I fell asleep during Conan though, but that's alright because they play the episodes from the night before on CNBC at 7:00, so I just watched it on Thursday. Did I mention my dad snores? Because damn, does he snore. He woke me up around 4 because of his snoring. I had had earplugs in. I had to get my CD player to drown it out. That just barely worked. Moving on...
Thursday there was some Wal Mart involved on the way home. Also, I didn't have to go to school. So Thursday was wonderful. Oh, and Fallon was on Leno, so I taped that (I have to watch it yet, but still. It's there.)...
Friday my sister came home... Some fun times were had (yes, even with her there, crazy as that sounds...) and, again, we went to Wal Mart. And Wendy's!
And Saturday... Whoa, did a lot go down on Saturday... And I mean a lot! First we went to Best Buy because my sister was on some sort of rabid hunt for a video. They didn't have it, so we went to Media Play. I'm going to make note of the fact that she never found the video right now so I don't have to keep repeating the fact that all of these stores didn't have it. All the while, mother was being creepy and faking interest in Duran Duran because of her newly developed thing for Simon... When we were done in Media Play, we went to Circuit City. I remember at one point pushing my sister in front of the Duran Duran section to keep mother away... Yeah, good times. Then we went to the dollar theater to (finally) see The Incredibles. Good movie. Horrible audience. Apparently the whole front row of the theater had already seen it, and kept yelling out random things that were about to happen. I wanted to hurt people. Then we went to FYE in the mall, and then we went to the mall in Greece to go to their FYE... And then we went to another Circuit City. And then, well, things got temporarily crappy because my whiny idiot sister decided that she was "too tired" to wait an hour for my two rolls of film to develop (the whole reason we were going to Wal Mart, might I add), and even though we ended up staying at Wal Mart fro over an hour anyways, we never got my pictures developed. And we all know that had they been her photos she would have insisted we stay, no matter what the condition the rest of us were in. Also, we went to eat after that, anyways, so I don't really see how her being "tired" really mattered at all. But whatever. When we got home I went upstairs for some TV watching times with my dog, and I kind of cleaned my room... Well, actually, my room was, for the most part, already clean... What I actually did was clean off my desk by putting away that pile of clothes that had been laying on it. And well, today... Today is a Sunday so it pretty much sucks. But in a way that doesn't ruin my whole week, if you know what I mean. It's just a Sunday, is all. It's pretty much made to suck. But I have things to look forward to... Like Fallon on Conan on Friday. And then Duran Duran on Conan on the 12th. Both expected to be incredible pieces of television. I mean, Conan + Random Thing I Like = AWESOME! Television gold, I swear it.
Also, I'm kind of sad about the Pope, you guys. I mean, that guy was awesome. He ruled. I'll miss him.
Well, that was my week. Good times.
