As part of my job as a Resident Assistant, I put up monthly bulletins - "silent programs" - with information to be disseminated by my residents. For the month of April, my silent program was concerning unique things to do this summer. Too often I had heard people say they were bored over the summer, and I myself would become quickly bored around the second month. Grr.
So, inspired by my silent program, I have developed a Summer Goals list. These things are what I want to do this summer, my last (technically) college summer. I want to celebrate my achievement of graduating from college right!
Summer Goals:
1. Fossil hunting
2. Learn a new language - hopefully Gaelic!
3. Road trip to Las Vegas
4. Go to Santa Cruz at least once a month
5. Learn to drive a car
6. Complete all my Resident Evil-inspired fanfiction
7. Go to an AMAZING dance club
8. Water gun fight
9. Be a better cook
10. Improve drawing skills
11. Get a well-paying, stable job that ISN'T demoralizing (like retail or food service)
12. Start a community garden plot with vegetables, or large planters outside apartment with vegetables and herbs.
13. Picnic with friends :)
That is my list so far. I think it is just long enough to make a fun summer.
fun,
summer
