[When he went to greet Lym this morning, Frey had found an empty room.

Staring in shock for a while, he wanders in, looking for anything that might be left, a sign of her presence. But there was nothing. It was as if she’d never been here. Gritting his teeth, he can’t take the sight anymore, and leaves the room, shutting the door behind him.

[Arumat will be training at the battle dome as usual. When he spots his student, he says nothing, but just watches, picking up the change in the other's demeanor instantly. He can guess at the cause, though not the specific person. But if Frey mopes around too much, he might just have something to say about that...]

[He's not so much moping as training hard and not stopping anytime soon. His opponents are strangely dressed people in masks, quick and skilled by their movements, but he's doesn't seem perturbed by it. Neither does he seem perturbed when one or two seem more like animals then people in battle- Wild, deadly, almost like they were too strong to be human at points.

He's certainly not fighting casually, though. There's a coldness in how he takes them out, as there always was with nethergate.]

[It's not just mere curiosity that leads Arumat to continue watching. He's evaluating his student's skill as well as studying these unfamiliar opponents-- after all, something new is something new for him to challenge himself with in the battle dome later. It's interesting, though, to see how the normally-quiet and calm Frey is so very different in battle...

He'll be leaning against the wall in the hallway once the other finally emerges from the simulation room.]

[Frey finally emerges once the time runs down, heading out with the intention to get some water and take a short breather before starting again- He's planning to exhaust himself, if he can.

He pauses, though, when he sees his teacher in the hallway.] Arumat, Sir?

Your technique has improved. Just don't go getting too cocky because of it.

[He's not going to let on that he has suspicions as to what Frey is doing here just yet, though.]

Thank you, Sir. [No, never cocky. How can he be? There were people who were far, far stronger then him, both here and back home.] Did you need to use this room?

Only if you're going to use it as well.

Are you afraid?

No, just surprised. [Actually, he's rather liking the idea. Fighting with his teacher would be useful training. Productive.]

[Arumat knows quite well that fighting battle dome simulations isn't nearly as satisfying as sparring against an actual flesh-and-blood opponent, and when you're working out the frustration of someone going home, sometimes that's what you want.]

Five minutes. I'll be waiting for you inside.

[It really was. That was the kind of release Frey was aiming for, anyway. It helped it was, to him, productive- He felt that, if he worked hard, perhaps someday he might be strong enough to protect Lym better.]

Alright. I will be right there. [He goes to grab a water bottle, taking a few quick, deep gulps before heading back to the simulator room.]

[Arumat will be waiting in the center of the room, laser scythe already out and turned on, the purple blade humming softly with energy. He's ready to start whenever Frey is.]

[Frey pulls out his tri-nunchaku, forming it into a staff with a simple twist. He knows better then to start off short range.] Ready when you are.

[As usual, Arumat gives no warning before lashing out with the scythe, intending to get Frey to focus his attention on blocking the attack and leave himself otherwise unguarded.]

[Frey, surprisingly, doesn't. He knows Arumat has reach on him, so blocking isn't exactly a good option. So instead, he ducks, aiming a blow under the attack.]
