Plaza Shinanigans
OK, Amy tells me that whenever something funny happens, I'm supposed to write it down, so here it goes.
Picture if you will, any who have visited my place of employment, Plaza Cafe at approximately 7 am. I am loitering by the entrance waiting for our conference groups to show up when I hear a sudden, unexplained burst of laughter, quickly joined by more voices until it sounds as if every employee is busting up. Curious, I lean back to get a view of the servery, and see... Michelle, a very pretty, slight girl who is normally about a B-cup [I think, I haven't really asked]walking around with very realistic looking breasts...that are WAY bigger than they should be. She begins walking over to me, as I too am laughing, smirks and takes out...two latex gloves filled with water and tied together. At this point I am [ashamedly] giggling like a madwoman. Then she explains that originally the water was uneven, so one breast was bigger than the other, which was apparently even more funny. Ian, never one to pass up a practical joke, appropriated the gloves, and also walked around with fake breasts, while I was not privileged to see this, I'm told it was quite a sight. About 15 minutes later, Michelle is back with the gloves, only now they're tied in such a way as to look like a very angry, ugly baby. She'd even drawn mad eyes and a little squiggly mouth >=/ and was carrying it around in a little black tub. It was actually kind of cute... A few minutes after that I here a shout from the servery, apparently someone had put the water baby on international station [i.e. above a heat source] and then for some reason proceeded to poke the 'baby'. Sadly, this proved to much of a challenge for the poor latex,the gloves burst and water flooded the tater-tots; Robert, the cook, was not pleased.
Morals of the story:
* Latex gloves make great fake breasts,if you're not worried about potentially wet shirts.
* Latex water babies are not to be poked.
* Tater-tots are indeed water soluble.
* AND: strange things happen when you schedule 12 college students to work at 5:45am, than stupidly proceed to give them caffeine, sugar and WAY to much free time.^_~
