Shopping Spree
Ok, first, guess who SO called what Miho was going to do with that picture of Kimiko two months ago. :) Go me.
Anyways, I actually got out of the cabin today and did something. My dad and I went to Brainerd to see My Super Ex-Girlfriend (good movie, very interesting twist on the superhero/supervillain plotline, though I didn't like the ending), and I spent a half-hour in a fabric store.
:) Things I got:
* 6' x 45" white broadcloth (so I can actually get back to my wings)
* 1 yard both of 1.5" and 2" elastic band (for a bracelet on my upper arm and a leglet)
* Gold satin (also for the bracelet and leglet)
* Gold thread (again, for bracelet/leglet)
* Maroon cloth with a gold pattern on it (for the lining of my toga
Hopefully I can find some brown thread for my bracelet, or else I won't be able to finish it here. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to cut out the pieces I'll use for the ridges on the wing and sew one of said pieces to a wing. :) Oh, and the belt, it's basically done. I'll post pictures of everything I've gotten done when I get back home, I'm just too busy working up here to do that.
Oh, and if any of you are ever in Brainerd or Crosslake...you have to go eat at a Rafferti's. They have the best pizza, hands down. I order sausage, extra cheese and BBQ sauce on my pizza. Yeah, BBQ sauce. The sausage is glistening, the cheese is juicy, the BBQ sauce adds so much flavor...ok, yeah, just go there sometime, it's good stuff.
Gonna take a break from my project and play some Mario + Luigi: Partners in Time. :) Another good Mario RPG, whodathunkit? Taka out.
