Thou Shalt Not Speak

Today, today, today.

Well, today I woke up. And then went back to sleep. I skipped Geography. It's the most boringestest class I have. I hates it. It is not my precious. Hence, I skipped it.

So I went in for Advanced C++, my favoritestest class. It was fun. We learned more about the Microsoft extensions to C++. And what we have to pay to use them. I don't know if I like the Microsoft extensions as much as I like Native C++, but you live and you learn.

Hehe, here's where the bit about "Thou Shalt Not Speak" comes in. See, I'm quite good with C++ and suchlike. And I have a good memory. And I speak up in class. Therefore, I do a lot of talking during the lecture whenever he asks a question. Finally, I answer a question and the professor looks at me and just mouths, "Can you shut up? Please?" I nod and laugh...

Then I went to my friend's apartment and we had lunch. And I sat aroung watching Tom and Jerry. I do not like watching mindless cartoons. It just doesn' work for me. Not amusing, not relaxing. Just terrifically boring.

From there I went to lab. We got to new Calculus labs, one for actual use and one for a bonus. The actual one was quite easy.

After that I hung around in the lab, helped my friend tutor a bit and listened to a girl talk about her relationship problems. I do a lot worse advising people face to face. In fact, I tend not to do it. I just think my advice, which is probably not the best approach.

Then me and my friend were supposed to code for the final project. However, our third group member didn't show. I put together my stuff and the stuff the professor had given us in class and made it compile. With a hammer. Muahahahaha. Die evil compiler. Die! Die! Die!

Ahem. Anyways, I find myself doing this a lot. Namely, getting my stuff done and nobody else having it done. And since we get a group grade, it worries me. Group projects are not a thing I like, at least when one of the members I don't see enough to bully into doing his work. And the other one just didn't do it, which really quite irks me.

I broke down and went to Borders at the mall. I was going into new book withdrawal, so I picked up Carpe Jugulum and The Once and Future King. My sister's reading CJ and I'm reading TOaFK. It's amusing, to say the least.

Nothing really philosophical at the moment....

books, maths, coding
