As I've said in my last few entries, I'm going through a little phase of immersing myself in British films, culture and even events lately. Went to see The Theory of Everything a few weeks ago which had me feeling so in awe of Eddie Redmayne and so attracted to Harry Lloyd (why isn't Harry Lloyd in more things?!). I actually really want to read

But yes, THAT interview. What the actual fuck? Then there was another video with that same reporter where she couldn't stop giggling about injured furries and had to go off the set. I'm wondering whose daughter she is that she even got that job.
Debs. I knew it would end badly the way I have a feeling that Mandy will come back in a box and Ian is going to end up bleeding from his wrists somewhere where Mickey can't save him.
But I don't hope it will happen, even if I sense it. I worry about Fi turning into Frank just with dangerous living, not alcohol. And well, honest? Debbie deserves better than tto follow in Fiona's footsteps. She deserves love and tenderness and a boyfriend all her own. And a brother or someone to tell her she's better than this. No one told Mandy when she was fourteen. That said, I'm glad she lost it. Now maybe she could put that laser focus on school or something. She could go to college too, you know? I hope so.

Well, I've seen a lot of indignities from Brand over the years, since his early career when he was a raving junkie, then after he got clean when he was a sex addict and notorious womanizer. Plus the several national scandals over incidents of offensive humor from Brand, one of which caused serious damage to the BBC. But (like with Baltar) I forgive Brand a lot because I think he's hilarious and highly intelligent and actually has good intentions. But given all of them above, there's been a huge amount of backlash to Brand reinventing himself as a political spokesperson.
I'll admit I often cringe over American TV presenters and wonder how they got their jobs. I guess it's years of getting my fandom gossip from Kristin dos Santos and wondering why there isn't anyone wittier or less annoying who could take that position.
Yes, even though Deb lost her virginity way too young, I'm glad that the show has gone through with it so hopefully Debs can focus on something else. I've heard that Debs is going to be the bad kid this season though. Carl too probably and Ian is obviously heading for a major meltdown. I think (hope?) we might see Fiona and Lip stepping up in their oldest siblings/surrogate parent roles of the Gallagher clan. I'm also getting really impatient for Jimmy's return!! I've been waiting so long.
