He wished that there was some way he could create but fate had moulded him into a destroyer.
You know, this line would not work in just any character's internal monologue. For many, it would probably sound a little too precious, but it really works with Sayid. He's very educated and he really thinks like that - in epic brush strokes.

That one line made me think all over again about how Sadaam's dictatorship put this guy into a position where he would have otherwise never in a million years found himself.

Sayid frowned slightly, wondering why Charlie still required Jack to be their leader now that their island days were over. Yes. Interesting question.

I liked your explanation for why Charlie's death was given so little time once they reunited with Desmond. You're right. There wasn't time, and I hadn't really thought of people not asking for Hurley's sake. That's an interesting insight.

Oh, poor Desmond. Him cycling through various prophecies of Charlie's death as if they were memories was fascinating. And his grief and guilt is so palpable. Oh, and I loved the parallel you drew between Sayid and Desmond in their devoted love of one woman for so many years, of whom they have nothing but a photo. Believe it or not, that similarity had *never* occurred to me. It made the scene you wrote between them even more poignant somehow.

And wow, I like the idea that Charlie's mission all along has been to round up the O6 to help Penny liberate the others. I didn't see that coming at all. The moment where Charlie says that they're going to see Ben was jaw-droppingly awesome. What on Earth is he going to have to say to Ben?

This story is really interesting.

Wow. I love it when readers make reflections that hadn't even crossed my own mind. I think you are spot on with that insight.

I'd still like more of an explanation in regards to Desmond's flashes. They did seem a bit like memories or de-ja-vu, but I hate the writers for dropping that whole storyline like a stone in S4. Even if they've killed my dear Charlie now, I still want to know why those prophecies were happening in the first place.

Yup, Charlie and Sayid are off to kick Ben's ass. I'm pleased you're finding this interesting.
