317 - What do you still have from when you were young?

Mr. Gordo.

Okay, technically? This is Mr. Gordo II, since the first one sort of got destroyed in Sunnydale, but I'm going to consider him mine because otherwise, I have nothing from my childhood. Well, other than Dawnie and my friends, but those are people, you know. Not exactly "things", per se.

It's "per se", right? What does that even mean? It's not like you're saying something about it, because it's the wrong language, and it's not like "per gallon" or "per anything", because isn't it Latin? Or French? I forget. I flunked French, so if it's that, then I don't know and if it's Latin, well, usually Willow or Giles reads something out of a book and explains it to me and then I go and do the actual slaying/chopping/whatevering work that needs to be done.

Do memories count? Well, okay, I have fake memories of my life when I was young from the monks, so again. Not exactly with the actual thing from my youth. At least Angel's friends have fake memories wrapped up in their heads, too.

Bizarre, really. Almost like some retconning thingy on a TV show. (Andrew and Xander would say comic books, but I'm not about to admit that I've possibly-maybe-sorta read any of those because... well, hello!)

Wow. Yeah, so I guess I'm totally stuck with Mr. Gordo II, my stuffed pig, who sleeps with me every night. Hopefully this one won't get messed-up in some fiery pit of destruction like the first one did.

And don't ask about "why the pig", okay? I happen to think he's cool.
