second memory [ooc]

He could feel the gun in his hand, his finger twitching against the trigger anxiously, there was a flurry of voices mixing together, nothing quite made sense until he began talking himself. His voice was loud and clear, unlike those before he began to speak.

"This world reflects peoples thoughts. Which... Oh dear... Does that mean the real culprits are everyone on the outside, including you?" His voice was thick with cold sarcasm, and he could feel the smirk on his face. The silence only confirmed his words, but it was broken before long by a boy with a voice that grated against him. "To hell with that! You did that stuff knowing full well those people were gonna die! If that's not a crime, what is!?" He could feel his laugh bubble up, and he heard as he responded easily. "Haha... you're so self-righteous."

Another voice, female, just as annoying spoke up next.

"How can you say that!? Aren't you a police officer? Out of everything you could have been, didn't you specifically choose to join the police!?"

That was the statement that both annoyed him and forced him to take a step or two forwards; he could feel his shoes sink into the ground's dirt. He could feel the way his mouth moved in annoyance, the way his eyebrows knitted together in annoyance and the way his hand grasped the gun until his knuckles were becoming numb with the effort that he was angry.

"Don't make me laugh. Just because someone joins the police doesn't make them some kinda "agent of justice." Y'know why I applied? So I could legally carry a gun... That's all. You'd be surprised how many poeple are like that. I thought it would be fun, too, but to tell the truth, that was a wash. Everyone around me was such an idiot... I made one tiny mistake, and they all got on my case and sent me out here to Nowheresville as punishment... I was bored shitless and wondering what to do next... when I discovered this power."

Whoever spoke next was definitely male, his voice was loud and rough. "For crying out loud... why a bastard like you!?"

Caution calmed his voice so that it was slow and thick with a patronizing air. "A gift for having to put up with this lame job out in Nowheresville, I guess. I did that stuff 'cause I could. And it got interesting, so I watched."

There was more conversation yet, but it broke up in waves like it had before. The voices chipped in and out, were loud and then quiet, and then it stopped altogether.

The only word he could hear was 'Persona', spoken loud and clear.
