A Closet Romantic...literally.
It took Clay a little over a month to decide what to buy Annie for their second valentines day as a married couple. He toyed with diamonds or shoes, and then it dawned on him. The idea came to him one night while he was taking a shower, they were going to have children soon who were going to get into everything, including Annie's shoe collection.
A week before the holiday, Clay spent the afternoon measuring the closets in the bedroom, figuring out the best place to install a shoe closet for his wife. As it turned out, they could make her closet a little bigger and put in enough space for sixty pairs.
Installation was going to begin Valentines Day Morning to be completed that evening before they got home from work. Clay conspired with Danielle to take Annie shopping, and he was leaving early to be sure he had time to put all of her shoes in the closet along with the tulip and Lilly arrangement he purchased.
He waited upstairs for Annie to come home proud of his gift and he knew she'd love it.
