The Four Parts of the Circle:
Once upon a time in a far off land,
There were water and salt and pretty white sand.
There were sun and fun and love in the air,
Then gone in a flash and it was no longer there.
The colorful leaves and brisk winds came,
School started, summer ended, and it was again same.
Day after day in a stuffy dumb room,
taking notes, adding figures, watching bean plants bloom.
The colors of this time were orange and rust,
Carving pumpkins, giving thanks, and making a fuss.
And again came a change, a fun one at that,
There was snow on the ground; one needed a hat!
The holidays were here, with them Christmas Ball,
The day Jesus was born Santa visited all.
The New Year began with noise and a kiss,
Resolutions were made and put on a list.
Oh no! Again, it was all gone.
Winter had ended, and born was a fawn.
Along with all babies were April showers,
Graduation hand in hand with May flowers.
The cycle's gone round, and will start again,
Just a bit different, but still will begin.
It is a great way to measure one's life,
Be happy. Be jolly. Perhaps play a fife!
