1 month update...
so mommy and baby maelyn have officially survived their first month. i can't believe how fast it has gone by. she weighed 10 lbs at the dr's office yesterday. and she is getting more and more alert as the days go by.
i still feel crazy spending my whole day with an infant. i sing her songs and we dance around the living room to justin timberlake's "my love" and other such other pop songs. the other day we went on our first walk in the stroller and she loved it.
i go back to work in two weeks, part of me is excited that i will be able to get out of the house for a couple hours a day, and another part is so sad that i will have to leave her with daddy.
i had my first night out since being pregnant last week. my girlfriend aura came into town and we just went to a local bar and had a few drinks. the weather was too bad to go into charlotte like we had planned. but it was definetly nice to go out and put down a couple white russians and yeunglings. i came home kinda buzzed. and felt guilty about it when maelyn woke up hungry..
its funny how little sleep i survive on now. but still nothing seems to get done.. thank god i have a wonderful husband. jason continues to keep up on the housework and lets me nap when he gets home from work. i'm glad he likes taking care of her. during the weekends he gets up early with her and lets me sleep in..
so being a mom is still awesome. i promised myself i wounldnt be one of those mothers who only talks about her kid.. but seriously when all i do everyday is hang out with a one month old.. well there really isnt much else to talk about...
and of course it wouldnt be a post of baby stuff without cute pics....
