(no subject)
I feel so blessed.
As I'm guessing most people who read this journal already know (3 people!), my grandfather passed away last Sunday, at the age of 85. It was a difficult time, but I've walked away from this crazy couple of weeks feeling really lucky for so many reasons. First, I was reminded that I still had my health, as I found out one of my classmates with two children will be going into surgery for the third time to try to remove a malignant brain tumor, and will be missing the rest of the semester (possibly year) as a result. Also, I have the most amazing, supportive friends who continue to be amazing friends despite the fact that I fail to call them or IM them on a regular basis. I also have an amazing boyfriend who stayed by my side for days on end, just to support me. And finally, I have amazing classmates who gave me hugs, class notes, flowers, and even bought me and mailed me a sympathy card which they all signed.
So I'm just sending this off to the universe (or really, to the big universe that is the internet) as a big thank you to all of the amazingly sweet people in my life. I think I say it often, but I don't say it nearly often enough - I love you all.
