a much-needed update

So my whirlwind life change has happened, and I'm now living in the backwoods of New Hampshire, which is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous, but having lived here for a grand total of... 7 days?... I have found to also be extremely dull (surprise!). So far, I've painted two paintings, cleaned the entire apartment from top to bottom, knitted most of a scarf, and played Silent Hill (on a Playstation 1! Lent by Chris!) one and a half times through, of which I most likely would have played more if I didn't get horribly creeped out every once in a while and need to return to the real world to bring my pulse down.

So, um, yeah... New York was great, largely owing to the amazing hotel room (on the TWENTY FIRST FLOOR... that view!) on Central Park. Really glad I got to see so many people whom I missed dearly, and that everyone got to meet Chris. :)

Classes start in 6 days. I've started to feel some last minute anxiety... sudden fears that I'm not cut out to practice psychology, or smart enough to make it through the program. Also, there's something very funny about a psychologist with arachnophobia. Especially in an area with wolf spiders (Holy. Fuck.) Oh well. At least I can say with certainty that I'm the most psychologically stable (that sounds bad...) than I've been in years. I think that aside from a general increase in emotional maturity, I largely owe this to a healthy, stable relationship. If you don't have one, you should get yourself one - it's very helpful! :)

*yawn* Back to painting, I guess...
