Scary Survey!
1.) Would you say that you are easily scared? List your fear level on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being a MAJOR scaredy cat!
It depends on what's trying to scare me. For real life stuff, I'm like a 9. For stuff in books and movies, I'm more like a 2.
2.) What are the three things that scare you the most?
a.) murderers
b.) war
c.) human experimentation
3.) Have you ever seen a ghost? And if so, were you frightened?
I can't say for sure if what I have seen are ghosts. In childhood, I did see fully formed people walking around...appearing and then suddenly disappearing. I have not seen anything like that since I was 11 years old. That was the last time. It frightened me nearly every single time.
4.) What are the top 3 scariest movies that you have ever seen?
a.) The first half of the original... The Eye. (I thought the second half of that movie wasn't scary...and wasn't good) FIRST HALF.
b.) Not really super scary but when my friend and I saw The Strangers in the theatre, I was really tense throughout the whole thing. I think that movie was SO underrated. It deserved more praise. And there were some really creepy parts.
c.) The mini film "Crevices" from Dark Tales Japan. EEEEEEW. CREEEPY. It's kind of cheesy because it's low budget and all...but that one is really creepy. None of those little films ever scared me at all so I wasn't expecting it to be so creepy.

a.) 'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark' - by Alvin Schwartz - illustrations by Stephen Gammell - YES. This was created for children...and I own the full collection...but I haven't been able to open it up since I bought it because some of the stories are just SO scary. I know I won't be able to sleep if I spend too much time reading it.
b.) I haven't felt scared from any other books...!
c.) ...seriously.
6.) Out of the following, which one do you think has the highest scare factor: Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Wolfman, The Mummy or none of them?
Frankenstein's Monster creeps me out the most when I really think about him and his story...
(he does look more funny than scary but...if you REALLY think about everything...the story is so creepy and tragic)
The others don't creep me out much at all.
7.) Which one of the following acts of Nature scare you the most: Tornados, Hurricanes, Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Lightning Storms, Blizzards...?
Earthquakes - because I always live with...the threat of them. They come out of nowhere and...make it so you feel like you can't trust the ground anymore.
8.) Lots Of Gore - or - Subtle, Psychological Scares? Which is the *bigger* scare for you?
In real life, gore is awful...but it doesn't affect me in movies at all. Psychological scares are more creepy.
9.) What do you think is the scariest way to die is?
Any way that involves...everything being normal one second, awful the next, you're aware of what is going to happen to you - and there's no escape. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
10.) Would you ever spend the entire night - by yourself - in a house that was reported to be "authentically" haunted?
I want to do that.
11.) Do you get scared when you visit staged Haunted Houses - that you pay admission for?
I haven't had the chance to go to many of those. I really want to! I love that stuff. I do get scared whenever ANYTHING is going to jump out at me suddenly... hahaha.
12.) Do you *enjoy* getting the boo-boo-gee-bees scared out of you?
In safe environments, yes. I love the feeling of getting scared one moment...and then feeling relieved because everything IS okay. I think the relief is really satisfying.
13.) Which scares you more: a really scary book - or - a really scary movie?
Often, neither scare me.
14.) Does the thought of aliens scare you? Have you ever had a close encounter?
I don't believe any aliens are currently in contact with earth AT ALL. However, the thought of malicious aliens suddenly coming and attacking us DOES creep me out. I hate the sound in movies that giant alien things make when they're running around and destroying cities. You know that sound!? It's AWFUL. No malicious aliens!
...and especially...no giant alien things with sounds, please!
Also, if the Aliens from the Alien/Aliens series were real, they would be super scary.
15.) Are you afraid of bugs? If so, what is the bug that absolutely creeps you out the most?
A lot of bugs freak me out. Spiders...scorpions...earwigs...potato bugs...
16.) If you had a choice, and you HAD to pick one of the following; would you rather be: a.) Eaten alive, b.) Burned alive or c.) Buried alive?
NOO. NOOO. NOOO. I really can't choose here. I guess I might go into shock pretty quickly with B. A would be too agonizing. C is...no, no, no. So, maybe B. It is supposed to be really painful but...um...I just can't stand the thought of C at all.
But I'm NOT REALLY choosing now.
17.) What is the grossest, scariest thing you have ever eaten (or drank)?
I got some cereal and ate some without noticing all of the little beetles...
But it wasn't all that bad. I didn't throw up or anything. They didn't really taste like anything. I just threw away the rest of the stuff and laughed about it.
What really tastes bad = ants. I hate when ants get into my mouth on accident. It happens. UGH. They're so icky tasting.
18.) Have you ever visited a graveyard at night? And if so, have you ever laid down upon one of the graves?
Nooo. I don't hang out in graveyards because I don't like how the ground feels under my feet.
19.) Do Ouija boards scare you?
No, not really. It always turns out that someone was moving it on purpose. And the times I've done it by myself...it seems like my subconscious was doing stuff and there's a lot that doesn't make sense.
20.) Abandoned Haunted House - or - Abandoned Insane Asylum... which one is scarier?
Asylum...especially if it's an old asylum because...mental health treatment was really really awful way back when. So, it doesn't FEEL like a pleasant place.
21.) Do you enjoy scaring others?
Yes! But I'm not very scary. haha
22.) What is the best scary prank you have pulled on someone?
Usually people pull the pranks on me! I don't have a - best - one. Most were really silly...
23.) Have you ever seen an actual dead body; firsthand - and not including at funerals?
Luckily, no.

simon and garfunkel...the sound of silence. haha, seriously. It's creepy.
Actually, any simon and garfunkel song is creepy to me. It's the vocals.

Someone made a REALLY AWFUL painting of hell that involved people on conveyor belts going to be crushed. I don't know who made it. I don't care to know. I never want to see it again. When I was 9 years old, I saw it and then couldn't sleep.

Giant squid and any large shark. I don't like giant things. And big things with scary teeth are even worse.
27.) Do you think that you could ever stand by and watch a mortician prepare a body for burial without getting scared, creeped out or physically sick?
I wouldn't get scared but I'm too sensitive to watch something like that.
28.) Do you have many nightmares? If so, what would you say is your worst one?
Any of my nightmares involving human experimentation are the worst.
29.) Do dolls, puppets or clowns scare you?
I don't like clowns but they don't scare me much. Dolls can be creepy but charming and cute at the same time usually... puppets can be quite creepy. Bunraku puppets...aaaaaaaah.
but with bunraku I'm MORE scared by the covered puppeteers.
30.) And finally.... what is the best scary story of something that has happened to you?
I have a few to choose from...but I'm too lazy to write it out now...and have dinner in 5 minutes!!
