I laughed right out loud. This is exactly how I imagine Stephen would be, if his persona were his actual personality.

Hee, thanks. I think if Character!Stephen was a real person, it would be quite scary. But the funny would hopefully cancel that out.

Why did half their conversations turn out like this?

They would, wouldn't they? Poor bewildered Jon. At least Stephen gets cheerful again at the end, so they can do this all over again later...
